Demand Planning

* Provide oversight and management of Long and Short Term Demand Planning for the BME Consumer Health (CH) business for assigned brands;

* Coordinate the preparation of monthly rolling forecast by channel in close collaboration with Sales, Marketing and all other relevant stakeholders

* Align cross-functionally with business partners to identify, communicate, and integrate business risks and opportunities for integration with the S&OP process;

* Lead and participate in cross-functional Demand Planning process and systems projects;

* Update the market demands generated from S&OP meeting in APO.

* Responsible for ensuring adequate monitoring alerts and warning signs for potential supply disruptions and anticipating and mitigating them before they become a stock out situation

* Ensuring APO is accurately reflecting most up to date supply situation and error free

* Drive the forecasting cycle for all Gulf and Egypt+ markets covering the 2 forecasting streams

Supply Planning

* Manages product life-cycle projects, coordination of change requests for new product introductions, text and layout changes and product eliminations

* Key contact for the for all supply related topics for Bayer Middle East

*Responsible for communicating Supply & Demand information to SC in a timely manner & liaising appropriately with Regulatory Affairs, Commercial & other relevant functions to resolves supply issues.

*Align order requirements with Supply Centres to insure availability of goods and proper scheduling for deliveries.

* Closely collaborate with Forecast Manager(s) to monitor demand changes to estimate the impact on supply

* Manage a strong relationship with peer supply managers at Supply Centres at a global level

* Ensure that new product launches, line extensions, product changes and packaging changes are planned for and implemented on-time.
Lead the monthly demand & supply review meeting with the Supply managers ensure productions are fixed to meet the demands

* Acts as communication focal point for all supply Related topics within PS

* Proactively communicates significant demand and supply changes to the supply center(s)
upon occurrence

* Responsible for the product supply launch preparation of the product, including initiating NPIs, listing of SKUs in P2R, following up for Master data set up, checking sales forecast and setting
of objectives and timelines for production & execution.

* Exceptions management - Analyse exceptions to take decisions after alignment with Commercial team (based on priorities) and to adjust planning results accordingly. Establish production requirements for short and long term and follow up production plans

• Planned monthly stock replenishments considering agreed stock days, seasonality, supply constraints to ensure on-shelf availability

• Sourcing of beers and spirits from sourcing from 7 International Supply point -Ireland, Canada, Italy, UK, Philippines and Singapore

• Liaise with suppliers on orders, capacity planning & supply logistics; and be the first point of contact with Suppliers.

• Liaise with 3rd party logistics provider (GAC) on customs clearance and availability of stock of warehouse, based on materials requirement plan.

• Ensure the right volume of stocks in warehouse all the time, without out of stock situation.

• Establish & sustain collaborative/productive relationship with all the suppliers, and 3rd party, to ensure long term healthy relationship for mutual benefits

• Managing Supply planning through intense coordination with freight forwarders and suppliers.

• Attended principal meets to review market demand, trade deals, promotions and cannibalization

• Collaborated with sales team and vendors to forecast demand for more than 300+ SKUs

• Forecasted demand for promotions along with sales team, considering competitor activities and obsolescence of existing stocks

• Analyse forecast accuracy and bias and identify and implement process enhancements to improve these KPI’s

• Participate in and facilitate weekly Plant and monthly S&OP discussions resulting in twelve-month rolling consensus demand plans by product group.

• Work with production planning and deployment to transfer/translate Sales & Operation Planning forecasts for operational purposes.

• Play active role in the annual planning process by identifying gaps between the plan and forecasts and be able to make recommendations on how and where opportunities lie to make up the difference.

• Establish and maintain trusted advisor relationship with Sales, Marketing and Finance leadership as well as with key Channel Partners within the Middle east region

• Monitored stock status on a daily basis in order to effectively manage working capital

• Coordinated with cross-functional teams including sales, trade-marketing, finance, logistics and clearing agents to ensure smooth supply of stocks

• Raise flag to Sales Managers for any overstock or under stock situation.

• Handled consignment documentation on a daily basis to ensure timely clearing of containers

• Accounted for returnable containers, demurrages and managed claims and disputes

• Floats expiry control reports on a weekly basis to communicate short expiry details. This helps to initiate measures to minimize loss from expired stocks
• Monthly inventory clean up.
• Providing forward visibility of stock levels thereby allowing the business to plan for change & identify potential service issues

• Schedule unloading of the inbound shipment, physically inspect & ensure all necessary steps (match container details against invoice, take picture of the container seal, etc…) are taken care off, before offloading the shipment.

• Arrange to store the goods in the warehouse in a scientific and orderly manner according to reference numbers, brand names etc., in order to keep an overall control of stocks & ensure that the products are bar-coded and binned efficiently.

• Supervise the picking, pre-retailing and packing of goods as per the Sales Order Pick List and reduce the lead time in the delivery of goods requested, by the Sales team.

• Arrange goods to be dispatched in an organized and timely manner to ensure delivery of goods within the agreed time frame.

• Ensure timely identification of damaged & expired products for reporting to Brand for phasing out / liquidation.

• Plan and coordinate stock takes / cycle counts to ensure minimal inventory variance and take immediate corrective action in case of any discrepancy.

• Co-ordinate with written instructions activities surrounding loading of all sales orders and stock transfer to satellite warehouses with warehouse storekeepers in accordance with instructions of sales force and market demand.

• Generate reports (daily physical stock report, picking tracker report, repacking report, pallets report etc.) Monitor and track the movement of promotions on daily basis and generated consolidated report.

• Conduct product availability and logistics related training to all staff and to the new fresh joiners to develop and monitor them

• Maintain good standards of housekeeping in all warehouse areas including the yard, finished goods store, samples area, paper store and all storage locations.

• Maintain accuracy of inbound/ outbound documentation (Delivery challan, GRN, Stock transfers, Purchase returns, Goods invoices).

• Generate Excess/Shortage/Damage reports for import shipments for warehouse operations.

• Ensure correct gate passes issued vs. loaded volume for all outgoing vehicles by random checks. Ensure that sales returns are handled as per the set procedure.
