• Inspection, Report Preparations, TPI arrangements and execution of all activities related to Mechanical QC in accordance with the Specific Project scope of Material Supply, Manufacturing & Fabrication along with the Various Principal Manufacturers.
• Preparation, review and attain approval from Clients of Vendor Documents, Method Statements, Work Procedures, ITP with the Manufacturers of Various products ranging from Shop made Storage Tanks, Skids and other steel piping products such as Valves, pipes, flanges & piping components.
• Field & Facilities Inspection to evaluate the Vendor capabilities to carry out specific scope of work required by the Project and Schedule Manufacturing Stage Inspection Activities complying with the Project & Additional Client or TPI witness activities.
• Carrying out Inspections & arrangements with various Principal Manufacturers Overseas (PIPINGTECH Skids, Pig launchers & receivers, pipe supports, DAEJU Valves, Hi-steel LSAW Pipes, YHBM SMLS Pipes, TCC Bend fittings etc..) & Local industrial fabrication & coating units (Prestige Engineering LLC, PSL FZE, Anti-Corrosion Protective Coating Systems, Al-Jazeera Industries etc..) related to the Quality Plans, ITP’s & Inspection requirements for their products & services.
• Stage vise Fabrication Inspections & Co-ordinations with Client & Sub-Contractor Inspectors in carrying out the inspections of equipment or skid fabrication from the beginning of Drawing Approvals, Procedure preparations & Approvals, WPS & PQR approvals, Welder Qualifications, Material Inspection, Fabrication, Final Inspection, Testing & Certification.
• Review Various BOQ & Material Requisitions with the Project Specifications/ Vendor Approval lists against the International Codes or Standards involved to identify the exact Materials requirement & Inspection Class requirements.
• Material Inspection of all incoming Materials at Company Warehouse or Supplier premises, according to the Order requirements, Material Test Certificates, Reports & also check their packing & preservation for different type metallic materials such as CS, SS, LTCS, alloys such as CuNi or other non metallic items.
• Co-ordinate with Third Party Inspection agencies & Technical Services laboratories & agencies for carrying out TPI inspections or Mechanical, Chemical & NDE tests at site and shop without delays and monitor and prepare/ review inspection reports.
• Inspection of Coating, lining or galvanizing of Equipments, Valves, Pipes & Other Piping materials at the Coating & Lining contractors or Galvanizing contractors for all stage vise testing & inspections according to the approved ITP & Client Inspection requirements.
• Final Inspection & Packing inspection of all fabricated Equipments, Skids, Valves, Instruments, Piping Materials & their Coating & lining, Galvanizing & Arranging Client Inspections for the same.
• Preparation of Final Manufacturers Data Books and Final QC dossier for Valves, Equipments, Skids, Specific project based manufactured, coated & lined Piping Materials.
• Planning, preparation and execution of all QC related activities in accordance with the project scope.
• Coordinate, preparation, review and attain approval of various vendor documents, Method Statements, Work Procedures, ITP.
• Field Inspection to evaluate the scope of work to carry out shutdown work and avail common schedule from SABTANK/ Port and each petrochemical plant.
• Verify specific requirement for each work such as cold cutting requirements, safety requirements as per toxic nature of line content, Hot bolting requirements etc.
• Inspection of precision instruments such as CFTs upon delivery and Co-ordinate/supervise handling and installation of these in-line instruments.
• Review Various revisions of P & ID’s and Field inspect all lines with plant operations and finalize isolation and blinding requirements.
• Witness decommissioning, blinding, Isolation, Cleaning of existing lines as per mark-up P & ID’s.
• Witness Installation of new spools, valves and in-line instruments and assure correct tightness, flow direction etc.
• Witness leak testing, blind removal and commission the line for plant usage.
• Review and work along with design team for all Fabrication drawings for piping, pipe supports, platforms & landings and evaluate material availability and procurement plans.
• Finalize and get approval of IFC drawings from client after scrutiny.
• Prepare suitable weld map and specific spool numbering for all IFC Drawings with field evaluation of the line modification and easy installation.
• Co-ordinate with construction and planning personnel in preparation of project overall and daily plan.
• Evaluate welders performance and qualify them for the specific project requirement.
• Preparation of WPS and co-ordinate with third party inspection agency for PQR preparation and approval.
• Carry out welder qualification test and co-ordinate with Third Party inspectors.
• Monitor all incoming materials and inspect as per approved ITP and assure Client inspection as per requirement.
• Inspection of fit-up, Weld Visual etc for conformance to WPS requirements, dimension, orientation of pipe spools of different materials like CS, SS, LTCS etc..
• Monitor performance of welders through repair of weld, analysis causes and initiate preventive measures.
• Checking electrode class/size used for each WPS number and also making sure that the Specified electrodes baking is maintained and proper purging provided for SS material.
• Prepare work procedures for smooth working environment for workers.
• Co-ordinate with NDT agencies to carry out NDT (RT & PT) at site and shop without delay and monitor and prepare/ review inspection reports
• Preparation of repair procedure and attend weld repairs if any and give instructions for the welder to carry out the repair properly.
• Monitor the painting/coating requirement of the spools as per the project specifications.
• Inspection of Insulation provided for each line as per requirement and assure conformance with applicable standards.
• Check installation of access platforms, Pipe supports, sleepers and civil foundations as per IFC Drawings and site condition.
• Preparation of Piping packages and Final QC dossier as per project specification.
• Execution of all QC related activities for construction of Storage Tanks
• Verification of raw materials to the quality standards by carrying out the specified inspection requirements as per drawing, ITP or any other specific procedures of the project.
• Review of Fabrication drawings against customer requirements and P & IDs.
• Monitor revision of drawings and mark up site changes and avail DCN and revisions accordingly.
• Material Inspection according to drawings along with review of MTC and Dimensional Inspection.
• Preparation and review of Hydro and Hydro Pneumatic test packages for storage tanks.
• Preparation of Final QC dossier for storage tanks.
• Review and interpretation of Final Check lists and carry out Tank Box-up.
• Inspection of all concerned activities for Plate fit up, root pass and full welding.
• Review of ITP and verify all Inspection activities are carried out according to project requirements and API 650.
• Witness all NDT done during all Fabrication activities, preparation and review of reports according to procedures.
• Preparation of welder traceability maps as required and RT Maps of Shell plates and annular plates.
• Carry out Hydro and Hydro Pneumatic testing of Storage tanks along with floatation testing of Floating roof.
• Co-ordinate with Client Inspectors and fellow inspectors and carry out inspection activities within the time schedule.
• Monitor and supervise NDT technicians and verify all instruments calibration.
• Attend internal meetings and meetings with client to study the progress of construction activities and its schedule to plan QC activities accordingly.
• Constant interactions with Welding and Fabrication Foremen, fabricators and welders and train them to minimize the material damage, distortion and dimensional deviations while fit-up and welding
• Monitor installation of deluge piping systems for tanks.
• Witness Pneumatic and Hydro testing of Pilot, Air foam and Water spray piping systems.
• Inspection of Tank attachments layout marking, opening, fit-up and welding.
• Inspection of Tank related pipe spools, i.e, pipe to pipe fittings fit-up and welding inspection.
• Witness related NDT (PT, MPT, RT) carried out, Pad leak tests, Penetrant oil testing etc.
• Review of all applicable WPS and monitor welders according to their qualifications.
• Monitor performance of welders through repair of weld, analysis causes and initiate preventive measures.
• Checking electrode is used for correct WPS number and also making sure that the Specified electrodes baking is maintained.
• Witness Settlement checks and calibration of Storage tanks.
• Review of all method statements, fabrication procedures and preparation of repair procedures.

• Evaluation of welds against acceptance criteria and preparation of inspection reports.

• Responsible for all production related activities - manpower & material management/handling.
• Monitor proper machinery & equipment controls as per material requirements. Assure quality Of each product.
• Assign required work force according for each job/forging requirement.
• Witness NDT done on every lot after forging and verify repairs carried out to meet the quality Requirements.
• Issuing Quality certificates upon completion of NDT, heat treatment or any specific tests carried out on each product.
• Schedule and monitor daily/monthly/yearly production activities according to the order execution Production plan.
• Marketing related activates-customer development tender participation, review and scheduling of Order execution.
• Preparation of quotations as per the tender requirements on the basis of technical feasibility and Cost estimation.

• Supply chain management activities monitor/record purchase orders, LTC, revisions of drawings & specifications, invoices, quality certificates, payment/collection statements.
• Preparation of legal documents such as bank guarantee indemnity bonds, export documents.
• Cost estimation of tenders and review of purchase orders with tender requirements/ quotation Terms.
• Review and monitor material procurement activities/schedules as per job priority and delivery schedules.

• Planning of Overhaul related activities, assessment of spare parts requirement as per plant maintenance schedules.
• Prepare/ evaluate material requirements for each job along with manpower and equipment requirements
• Preparation of daily work schedules, weekly report and co-ordinate with preparing testing packages.
• Scheduling and implementing preventive and shutdown maintenances as per contract.
• Co-ordinate overall project execution plan to meet the targeted schedule.
