Project: Lusail Development Light Rail Transit System Project (LRT Metro). Client: Qatar Rail.

The Project:-
QDVC is a Qatari shareholding company with major shareholders of Qatari Diar (51%) and Vinci Construction Grand Projects (49%). The overall project covers 15.3 kms of double track and 6.7 km of single track at grade, 6.3 km of underground double track and 1 km of single track, 29 at grade stations, 8 underground stations, viaduct crossing and Depot facility.

Detailed Duties / Responsibility:

•Developing and establishing Detailed EPIC Baseline Schedules & Construction programmes using Primavera.
•Preparing programme in Synchro 4D (incorporating schedule and Revit 3D).
•Implementation of LEAN Management (Last Planner method) on a weekly basis.
•Resource loading (material, manpower, and budget / cost) into schedule as per requirements.
•Developing and maintaining adequate planning and scheduling procedures and guidelines.
•Create and implement plans and programs adopting the most effective and appropriate methods of construction.
•Preparation of Earned value analysis, S Curves / Project Cash flows & Histograms.
•Manage and conduct weekly and monthly progress meetings to the full team and discuss the critical paths and mitigation plans.
•Tracking, Monitor & Updating progress of work using primavera.
•Preparing budget and cost reports.
•Tracking & monitoring all Contractual Milestones & Handover dates and setup mitigation plans for delayed activities and milestones.
•Prepare and develop catch-up / recovery programme if required.
•Working and coordinating effectively with other interfaces, sub projects teams, design teams, construction teams, Commissioning team, Cost controls team to establish and maintain required interfaces during project execution
•Preparing monthly & weekly planning reports.
•Conducting EOT and Claim Analysis.
•Analyzing and approving subcontractor schedules.
• Participate in meetings (i.e. planning meeting, schedule review meeting, progress meeting, coordination meeting etc.)
•Conducting Schedule Risk Analysis (quantitative and qualitative risk analysis).
•Preparation of phasing and presentations.
•Perform other duties for the PM and management staff.
•Regular Site visits to confirm the site safety & monitor work progress to reduce rework and to avoid delay in scheduled works.
•Integrate HSE and quality management processes into construction programs to ensure safe delivery to the required specifications.
•Managing a team of 4 planners.

PMS Project:-
Worley Parsons is providing PMCM services to QF awarded Rail project. The project objective is to build a worldclass Light rail system connecting the north campus and south campus of Qatar Foundation campus. The total rail length is 11.3 kms and includes a Depot, 24 stations / tram stops, metro tunnel connection of 1 km and a viaduct of 1.3 kms. It also includes road works, overbridges, APM tunnel works and landscaping works.
Responsibility:
I am handling responsibilities of Senior Planning / Projects Controls Engineer, handling PM/CM (Client representative) projects and responsibilities that primarily include planning, scheduling and monitoring of awarded project, EOT and claim analysis. As a client representative, job profile includes interacting very closely with the EPC Contractors, Design consultants and subcontractors, preparation of the baseline and execution programs, weekly and monthly progress reports, preparation of program and project schedule using Primavera, verification of Monthly Progress reports and payment applications submitted by the contractors, Inspections and back up documents for the same. I report directly to the Project Director. Detailed monitoring and cost control of the project is also involved in my job profile. I am involved in projects with value of Qar 2 billion + with line of junior engineers, planners, clerks directly reporting to me.

Detailed Duties / Responsibility:

•Detailed review and analysis of the Contractors baseline schedule.
•Comments to EPC contractor for corrections based on schedule check.
•Review of progress updates by checking site progress, check of logic by claim digger etc.
•Analysis of Extension of time by using Time impact analysis.
•Preparation of contract variations (schedule and cost impacts).
•Analysis of concurrent delay analysis, window slice analysis
•Review and approval of contractors monthly invoices
•Risk analysis of schedule using Primavera Risk Analysis.
•Preparation of detailed progress and commercial reports to management.
•Preparation of cost / revenue forecasts to management.

The Company is one of the leading Oil and Gas EPIC Contractors dealing with Offshore and Onshore Oil and Gas, Petrochemical Projects, Energy projects, turn-arounds and shutdowns.
Responsibility:
I am handling responsibilities of Senior Planning / Projects Controls Engineer, handling responsibilities and activities that primarly include planning, scheduling and monitoring of awarded shutdowns, field maintenance works and offshore projects. Job profile includes interacting very closely with the clients and consultants, preparation of the baseline schedules (upto Level 5- resource loaded), weekly and monthly progress reports, preparation of Monthly reports, Progress Invoices. I report directly to the Project Manager / Planning Manager of the company. Extension of time analysis, concurrent delay analysis, risk analysis and prolongation cost analysis is also part of the job profile. The main software used for Project Control are MSP, P3 and P6. I am involved in projects / shutdowns with value of US$ 100 Million + with line of junior engineers, planners, clerks directly reporting to me.

Detailed Duties / Responsibility:

•Prepare and develop detailed schedule (Resource Loaded, Cost loaded) in coordination and interface with all related departments and authorities.
•Preparation of Engineering and Procurement registers.
•Continuous monitoring of activities at site and updation of schedule.
•Providing contingency plans in case of any delay in schedule.
•Providing detailed monthly reports with cost details.
•Apply EOT (Extension of time) analysis in case of delayed projects.
•Preparation of monthly progress invoicing based on site progress.
•Approve schedules and invoices of subcontractors.
•Assessment of prolongation costs incurred based on the awarded EOT.
•Analyze change requests and variations as per the approved change procedures and conduct assessment of the associated duration and costs
•Preparation of project cost and revenue forecasts for management approvals.

I was handling responsibilities of PLANNING AND CONTRACTS ENGINEER, handling responsibilities and activities that include planning of entire project (E.P.I.C). Job profile includes interacting very closely with the clients and consultants, preparation of the baseline schedule (level 4 - resource and cost loaded), cost control sheets, weekly and monthly progress reports, preparation of Monthly Progress Invoices. I report directly to the Project Director of the company. The main software’s used for Project Control are P3 and P6. Additional responsibilities included review and approval of the contract documents, preparation of subcontractor’s contracts agreements.

I was initially based in UAE and later on as company expanded to Qatar, I was based in Qatar to handle operations in Qatar and establish Qatar office as a Center for the regional activities. Responsibility:
I was handling responsibilities of Site Engineer, reporting to the Project Manager. The responsibilities included execution of work at site as per project requirements and contractual conditions. It involved responsibilities of approval of drawings as per the work, close coordination with the clients / end users, procurement of materials as per project requirements, approval of plan and schedule produced by Planning Department, assignment of technical work force to specific jobs as per their ability, regular time and activity check as per schedule, coordinate with QA / QC Department for inspections, erection and commissioning at site and prepare a completed Project Report.
