• Negotiate price, quantities & deliveries with vendors

• Recognize leading fashion trends & interpret for exclusive fast fashion ranges to cater to closer to season trend demands
• Monitor competitor pricing and use market research & regular store visits to observe changing needs of target customers.
• Work closely with the Merchandise Planning team to plan and trade a balanced range, ensuring department financials and KPIs are met and managed accordingly
• Work closely with VM team to manage in store POS and VM guidelines
• Seasonal trips to Europe for trend research & inspiration.
• Travel to Far East & India to meet with vendors to assemble future collections, negotiate costings, place orders & strengthen vendor relationships.
• Core team member for setting up a roadmap to start and build e-com business which is now fully functional and operating since Oct 2020
• Leading a team of 2 people.
• Apparel souring & buying; Costing & cost negotiations
• Vendor capability & strength analysis; Weekly trade report analysis
• Engineering the product from development to production stage.
• Coordinating with buying, design, quality & logistics team along with the vendors
• Involved in making business strategies for cost architecture and sourcing distribution
• R & D on garments to make them most production feasible, cost competitive & aesthetically viable.
• Maintaining communication with vendors through the global ERP system PLM.
