Job Role - Storage Management:- LUN Management, Host Management, Reclaim,
Planning, scheduling and implementing firmware upgrade for the storage boxes and SAN switch as part of Storage Maintenance plan.
Microcode/Firmware Upgrade IBM SVC, Brocade ( SVC firmware upgrade from v7.2.0.9 to v7.4.0.8, IBM Storwize upgrade from v7.3.0.9 to v7.4.0.8, Flash System Upgrade from v1.3.0.3 to 1.3.0.4)
As part of the storage management need to coordinate & work with vendors such as EMC, IBM & Support for any problems / errors troubleshooting in Storage or in Fabric & also for replacements of hardware parts in it.
Handling & prioritizing customer requirements to ensure minimal downtime.
Generate incident & service reports of various requests handled on a weekly, Monthly basis.
Monitoring the health of SAN environment which include the alerts from storage array.
Co-ordinate with the vendor for hardware replacement into Data Center environment
Configuring Fabric Zoning, through Fabric administrator.
BAU Work of Proactive HC/Fixing, Handling Threat/Risk Management / Audits
Migration - Storage Based using replication
Decommissioning Devices (Switches & Storage Devices)
