220kV substation, Kalamassery is the largest and most important substation in Kerala state with total of 40 feeders on 220kV/110kV/66kV/11kV voltage levels. I assist the Assistant Engineer in handling the operation and maintenance of various substation equipments and switchgears such as Circuit Breakers (SF6, ABCB and VCB), Isolators, Current & Potential Transformers, Power Transformers of capacities 200/120/63/10 MVA at 220 kV, 110 kV, 66 kV and 11 kV voltage levels, Battery Banks, Control & Relay Panels for HT & EHT Feeders, Capacitor Banks and Compressors etc.
•Planning for the future load requirements
•Making necessary load arrangements to run the grid during energy crisis
•Maintain plan chart of routine and non-routine maintenance work
