My Responsibilities include hardware, software, installations, and the configuration of Firewalls, routers, switches, user account administration, troubleshooting and upgrades in a fast-paced, 24x7 environment. Working in a team of three Network system specialists. I provide 1st to 2nd level support troubleshooting network issues and monitoring network performance assuring Business continuity to IPI’s Clients and keeping to their SLA using various tools like Sniffer, Wireshark, Ciscoworks. Design, document and install LANs (Vlans, HSRP, VRRP, STP, QOS, Cabling, DHCP & DNS), WAN (DSL, ISDN, Frame Relay, Leased Circuit) and Security (VPN, CHAP, IPSEC, Tacas+, Radius, RSA, Websense, Virus prevention, Penetration testing using tools such as Beast, Nmap, Nessus and BackTrack.
Thesis Title: Simulation of Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANET) for High Speed Vehicles In my master’s research thesis, the main emphasis is on the new IEEE 802.11p enhancement of MAC and PHY layers. More specifically, the target of this thesis was to setup a simulation environment (IT Guru® modeler) which allowed us to test the quality of a voice transmission, using IEEE 802.11p (WAVE) enhance setting, in a single hop and multihop environment. Also the transmissions between mobile nodes were tested by simply sending and receiving FTP file with varying speed. The IEEE 802.11p protocol was used for the first time in simulation; the outcome was quite satisfactory for high speed vehicles. The research tries to prove that this new protocol IEEE 802.11p is a good replacement of WIFI Courses Studied: System Security, Computer Systems and Networks, Network Monitoring , Network Security, Network Simulation, Mobile Personal and Satellite Communications, Multimedia Communications Network, Personal and Professional Skills, Research Skills and Project Development
