Completed an internship at a grid station where I gained practical exposure to the operation and maintenance of high-voltage power transmission and distribution systems. Assisted engineers in monitoring and inspecting transformers, circuit breakers, isolators, current transformers (CTs), and potential transformers (PTs). Observed the functioning of protection and control systems, including relays and switchgear, and learned how faults are detected and isolated to ensure reliable power system operation. Studied single-line diagrams (SLDs), load management procedures, and substation layouts to understand power flow within the electrical network. Participated in routine maintenance activities, monitored electrical parameters such as voltage and current, and adhered to established safety standards and operational procedures. This experience strengthened my understanding of power systems, substation equipment, and grid station operations while enhancing my technical and problem-solving skills in a real-world engineering environment.
