I have provided quality nursing care to a large, transient group of patients of all ages, such as patients from intensive care, emergency situation and paediatric patients and others needing interventional radiology procedures . As a nurse I inform the radiologist of any unusual patient needs and perform specialized nursing duties, such as checking their medication, vital signs, nil by mouth status, laboratory results and history to ensure that it is safe to proceed with the planned procedure. As an IR Nurse I am involved in administrating sedation and analgesia during the procedures and closely monitor patients with cardiac & pulse oximeters. As an IR nurse I am certified in conscious sedation and advance cardiac life support. I am able to think critically, correlate vital signs and decide whether what is occurring is part of the procedure or an emergency that needs to be acted upon quickly. As a nurse I have devoted a lot of time on quality improvement and infection control programs: collecting data, keeping records and reporting results. I've utilize skills employed in many other nursing specialties and incorporate them in the radiology setting.

When procedures are more complex and a scrub nurse is required, I provide assistance to the radiologist as a qualified scrub nurse. During post procedure monitoring I observe for signs and symptoms of complications such as Bleeding from the puncture site and/or surrounding area, pain and changes in mental status and vital signs. I am a spokesperson for patient care and a teacher to other radiology staff members on patient care issues.

You will find my resume with my skills and competencies. Please feel to contact me at your earliest convenience so we can discuss the position and your needs in detail
