• Working as a Database Manager (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) in Market Place Tech Infra (A subsidiary of Bombay Stock Exchange) since Feb 2014.

SQL Server:

• Managing all the SQL Server Databases of BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange)
• Managing all the SQL Server Databases of India INX (India International Exchange IFSC LTD)
• Troubleshooting issues related to SQL servers.
• Proficiency in Migrating and upgrading SQL Server.
• Managing Clustering, Replication and Log Shipping of Database Servers
• Knowledge on Always on Availability Groups.
• Knowledge on SAN replication, SAN Storage.
• Knowledge on Geographically dispersed cluster.
• Managing many database servers having different versions - SQL Server 2005, 2008 and 2014
• Knowledge on In Memory OLTP Implementation.
• Running DBCC commands to ensure consistency on a Database.
• Performing regular DR drills to ensure availability, consistency of the DB servers.
• Hardening SQL Server as per the ISO standard.
• Managing Linked servers, logins.
• SQL Server production support (24 x 7) and Development environment
• Installation and up-gradation of SQL Servers, Services Packs, Hot-fixes, Patches
• Regular maintenance and performance-tuning of the database
• Knowledge of TDE, Column Level Encryption and SSL Authentication
• Managing Backup and Restoration of Databases

• Knowledge on performance optimization Tools like MDW, SCOM, SQL Profiler, SQLIOSIM and Extended Events
• Query optimization, managing file groups.
• Monitoring all SQL Servers, check log files, system log files, alerts, database health, Index fragmentation, Log file size, slow running queries etc.
• Rebuild and Reorganizing Indexes.
• Creating and maintaining DTS packages
• Knowledge of backup tools like EMC Networker and Actifio.
• Knowledge of SRDF replication (Block level Replication from one Data Center to another Data Center), EMC Recovery Point
• Resolving SCOM alerts related to SQL Server.
