Engineering & QS:
1. Evaluation of tenders and cost estimation for MEP projects.
2. Review all the tender documents for specifications of materials & equipments, vendor lists, Bill of Quantity and drawings.
3. Prepare Bill of Quantity.
4. Review the consultant specifications and request for technical submittal from supplier.
5. Review the technical submittal and forward to consultant for the material approval.
6. Responsible for all HVAC Calculations associated with the project.
7. Study the Tender and IFC Drawings for any variation & notify the client & consultant.
8. Responsible for Variation Costing.
9. Involve in Technical Discussion with the Main Contractor & Consultant to sort out any issues
10. Coordinate with the drafting team for technical issues and ensure shop drawings are submitted on time.
Procurement:
1. Make material price enquiries (RFQ) to vendors & obtain quotation on time.
2. Evaluate vendor’s proposals technically in compliance with project specifications and suggest suitable technical alternatives if required in coordination.
3. Evaluate the supplier quotations against the project requirements and make comparative analysis of technical and commercial aspects.
4. Request for Material Submittal after evaluating the cost, warranty, support & specifications.
5. Negotiate with the supplier and generate purchase orders (LPO).
6. Prepare a delivery schedule with respect to program and forward to supplier to ensure availability/delivery of materials on time.
7. Coordinate with the supplier to ensure smooth delivery of the materials.
8. Monitor the stock levels of materials and ensure that the required items are purchased when the stock levels are low.
9. Follow up with the suppliers for materials delivery.
Execution:
1. Raise Material Inspection Request (MIR), Inspection Request (I.R) & Request for Information (RFI) and coordinate with the Consultant Engineer for the approval.
2. Complete the MEP Inspections & provide clearance to Civil on time.
3. Coordinate with all the MEP Subcontractors & sort out the issues to achieve progress.
4. Plan the work with milestone & assign targets as per the baseline program.
5. Participate in weekly progress & coordination meetings with Project Managers, Engineers, Client and other contractors.
6. Make letters to consultant and the main contractor regarding any site issues.
7. Provide effective management to site issues/problems and solve it on a timely manner.
