1. Doha Festival City, Qatar ( Deputed at DOHA office)
• The Doha Festival City mixed use development is a joint venture between Bawabat Al-Shamal Real Estate Company (BASREC), Al-Futtaim Group, Qatar Islamic Bank and other investors. The development consists of an IKEA store, retail mall, entertainment areas, 132kV substation, conference facility, car showroom and car parking.
• Was responsible for ensuring state of the art building services design approval and coordination for all tenancies throughout the development in alignment with mall’s iconic services concept design. It is important to follow the process as outlined within this Tenancy Design Criteria Manual (TDCM) to ensure efficiency and the achievement of a quality standard, which was expected for Doha Festival City.
2. Riyadh Metro, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ( Deputed at Dubai office)
• The Riyadh metro is a rapid transit system under construction in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia under the ownership of Arriyadh development authority. It will be the backbone of the city's public transport system. Transit system comprises of six different lines having total of 178km system length which includes 80 no. underground & elevated stations.
• Key responsibility was to design ventilation system for underground tunnel networks using numerical simulations via subway environment simulation program, development of ventilation plant room/ associated equipment room layout and assessment of various tunnel cooling methodologies, technical report writing and mode table development. Underground Tunnels require ventilation for a variety of reasons -to ensure an adequate air quality & temperature during normal and congestion, to control the spread of smoke in case of fire, or to reduce temperatures to acceptable limits. Subway environmental simulation (SES) is the tool used for simulating the tunnel & designing the ventilation system /cooling system required for meeting design conditions.
3. Route 2020- Dubai Metro (Tendering)
• The proposed Route 2020 line is the extension of existing Dubai metro -Red line with branch out from Nakheel Harbour and Tower station and end at the Expo 2020 site near Al Maktoum International Airport, and 10.5 km of the route will be elevated while 4 km will be underground, supported by five elevated stations and two underground stations.
• Key responsibility was to design preliminary ventilation system for underground cut & cover/bored tunnel section using subway environment simulation program, development of station ventilation plant room/ emergency exit fan room / associated equipment room layout and assessment of various tunnel cooling methodologies/techniques.
• Responsible for HVAC design/consulting for diverse range of hospitality, healthcare, residential and commercial projects.
• Design and planning of HVAC system which involves heat load estimation via HAP, Selection of chillers, Pumps, Air handling unit, Duct & Pipe design.
• Static pressure calculations for air handlers & pump head calculations.
• MEP Design Report, Design/Tender drawings, MEP Coordination drawings, Tendering and BOQ in compliance with applicable International standards & other local bye laws.
• Approval of technical submittals & shops drawings.
• Evaluate pre-qualification and tender proposals for selection of vendors and subcontractors based on technical competency.
