Identify possible clients from commercial farms, hospitals, schools, hotels and
municipalities etc. in respective province to promote large biogas in the municipal and
commercial sector.
• Conduct promotional meetings, events, workshop etc. to attract municipal and
commercial enterprises and industries to implement waste to energy activities.
• Assist the Biogas Subcomponent and the large biogas sector/team in day to day activities
related to waste to energy including follow up for construction of large projects, ESMF
verification, Testing and Commissioning and overall execution of activity plans related to
that province.
• ESMF Screening and verification of large commercial and municipal plants.
• Regularly ensure adequate follow-up, monitoring and reporting of program activities
through active coordination with monitoring and reporting team at center.
• Disseminate information to companies and other relevant organizations or individuals
such as interested and or potential developers, BFIs, government authorities including
municipalities.
• Assist in regular and general monitoring of the program activities, including Review of
work and activity plans, and budget and work closely with staff related with monitoring
and reporting; Gender and Social Inclusion (GESI) mainstreaming; and climate and
carbon.
• Ensure GESI issues are addressed in executing program activities.
• Work in close cooperation with other programs of AEPC and other rural energy
programs/projects of AEPC and ensure teamwork and coordination.
• Coordinate with other on-going programs in Nepal that has direct and indirect implication
with SREP activities in general and biogas activities in specific: general liaison for sector
development; follow-up of the technological and other developments in the sector and
providing inputs to improve the program.
• Any other tasks assigned by Biogas Sub component Manager to support in SREP
implementation.
Providing technical and administration support for ensuring implementation of EFLG policy and strategies for environmental management, climate change adaptation and disaster management.
Support in drawing, designing and evaluation of estimates of infrastructure development activities under EFLG program in Municipalities. Mostly Civil structures for slope stabilization & bio-engineering works, park construction, pond construction, Nursery construction, water source conservation etc.
Provide technical backup for ensuring coordination and building collaborative ownership of stakeholders on Environmental Management.
Prepare local resource mobilization strategy for environment and climate change adaptation program.
Support establishing environment and climate change management policy to sustain EFLGP at local level and assisting the concerned stakeholders in implementation and providing support for proper implementation of EFLGP.
Energy Audit of small and medium scale agro and tourism based industries in Nepal. Detail study of the industry regarding energy consumption and production process and analyse the leakages, loss in terms of fuel, energy and resource utilization.
Preparation of Initial Assessment Report (IAR) of the industries and suggest possible improvements in the field of energy and environment for smooth operation of the industries in a sustainable way.
Preparation of the Implementation Report of the industries and analyse the possible improvements/savings after implementing the recommended options.
Preparation of the Monitoring Report and further analysis of implemented options for certain period in terms of energy/money saving.
Preparation of feasibility study report and waste to energy proposals as required by the project.
Selection of soil erosion prone areas of power plant site & design and estimates of appropriate civil structures to mitigate the impact due to soil erosion.
Design and estimates of structures required for power plant setup.
Preparation of checklist for household survey on waste generation and coordination with field staffs to conduct the survey.
Conduction of public meeting in the project affected area and disseminate the information to the concerned stakeholders regarding the project.
Involved in EIA study of Nagdhunga Tunnel Construction Project and prepared Scoping, ToR and full EIA report of the project in coordination with the JICA Survey Team.
Prepared full Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) report of Jogbani (India) - Biratnagar (Nepal) broad gauge Railway section in coordination with the Department of Railway.
Presented IEE at the Department of Road and Department of Railways.
Use of GIS tools for calculation and analysis of hydrological parameters during EIA study.
Use of remote sensing software ERDAS for preparation of base map (physical and biological characteristics) of the project area.
Prepared full Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) Report of Construction of Khandbari Landfill Site.
Selection of soil erosion prone areas of landfill site & design and estimates of appropriate civil structures to mitigate the impact due to soil erosion.
Preparation of the base map of the project site using GIS and AutoCAD tools.

Conducted group discussion in the project affected VDCs regarding the construction of landfill site and collected suggestions from the concerned stakeholders.

Worked on physical environment of IEE/EIA of road, design and estimates of appropriate civil and bio-engineering structures along the alignment of road section.
Preparation of the base map of the project site using GIS and AutoCAD tools.

Presented IEE/EIA of Road at the Department of Road (DoR) & Ministry of Science Technology and Environment (MoSTE).
