- Provide the planning and leadership to the marketing department by ensuring that the appropriate structures, systems, competencies and values are developed in order to meet and exceed the goals of the Marketing plan.

Responsibilities
Plan, design, manage & monitor all operations processes and systems in order to ensure smooth functioning of the various financial services areas of the organization.
Oversee, monitor and improve transactions processing.
Provide leadership in the development and implementation of flexible and robust systems, procedures and controls within the businesses to help businesses to continually improve their performance.
Maintain an effective focused Operations team.
Develop strategic plan to ensure operation is effectively designed to deal with the changing environment and needs of the business.
Ensure the senior management is fully infromed of any new and relevant gaps as well as on the actions taken to fill operationally fill these gaps.
Ensure a highest level of service quality provided to the clients in coordination with other areas of the organization.
Exercising appropriate financial authority to facilitate customer requests and transactions.
- Establishing direct and regular contact with counter-parties with the objective of increasing the volume of business as well as gathering information on different countries.
- Maintain relationships and constantly explore methods to maximize on it to the benefit of UNB.
- Ensure long term steady relations with other banks and that the limits favoring UNB are always in place to meet different business requirements.
- Capitalize on the existing relationships and establish new ones in order to ensure their support in case fund raising is required by the bank.
- Soliciting, conventional and Islamic, trade finance, syndicated loan, credit default swaps and/or other transactions favoring FIs in order to meet business targets.
- Managing assets portfolio of approximately $ 400mm.
- Conduct quantitative & qualitative risk analysis for banks and financial institutions for the purpose of preparing and recommending credit limits as well as country limits
- Conduct annual review and renewal process for all existing country and financial institutions limits.
- Follow up on the entry of credit facilities to the credit administration system allowing utilization or drawdown of approved limits
- Review, coordination and follow up with legal counsel on several loan and other documentations. (i.e term loan agreement, MRPA, Murabaha & Wekala agreements etc.
- Undertake various operational tasks to assist bank units in resolving their outstanding operational problems.
- Interact with corporate relationship managers to assist them handling their clients banking requirements for international business.
- Interact with Treasury and Investment group to insure the availability of limits and assisting them marketing treasury related products to other local and international banks.
- Conduct regular business trips to the countries in my area of coverage, for the main purpose of exploring new business opportunities and receive information and updates on the economic and political situation of these countries.
- Supervising and training of other members of the division.
- Manage and supervise the division’s activities, including business plans and budgeting.
my capacity as Acting Head of the Division reporting directly to the GM - Assets Management, Investment Banking and Treasury, I carried out the following:
- Global marketing of NBK group’s financial products and services in full coordination with other divisions and overseas branches.
- Product Development - Upgrading the quality of correspondent banking products as well assisting other areas of the bank developing their products in order to meet the international banking standards.
- Conduct quantitative & qualitative analysis for banks and financial institutions for the purpose of preparing and recommending credit limits.
- Establish and maintain global relationship with banks and financial institutions.
- Exercising appropriate financial authority to facilitate customer requests and transactions.
- Contact foreign correspondents for follow-up on business leads, quality problems and pricing on behalf of other areas of the Bank.
- Promotes NBK to identified international banks visiting Kuwait.
- Supervising and training of other members of the Regional Institutional Banking Division.
- Manage and supervise the Division’s activities, including business plans and budgeting.
Soliciting trade finance transactions from the primary and secondary market on funded or un-funded basis, purchase and sale of assets, direct bilateral lending and Syndicated Loan facilities.
- Establish, review and recommend workout credit proposals.
