Science Educator in Training: I am in the process of becoming a qualified science teacher. I will be PGCE and QTS qualified by July 2024.

Experience in teaching Biology, Chemistry and some Physics. Key Responsibilities:

•Lesson planning and curriculum development: Develop and execute lesson plans for science classes, aligning them with the British curriculum standards and learning objectives. Contribute to the design and development of science curriculum materials, including resources and assessments that engage and challenge students.

•Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, managing student behavior and ensuring a safe and respectful classroom atmosphere through building a strong student teacher relationship.

•Student Engagement: Employ various teaching strategies to engage students in active learning, making science concepts accessible and interesting through technology and digital resources to enhance teaching and learning experiences in the science classroom.

•Differentiation: Tailor instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with diferent learning styles and abilities. Experience of working with SEND, SEMH students and adapting lessons to meet their needs.

•Assessment, feedback, and record keeping: Assess student progress through a variety of assessment methods, provide timely feedback, and adapt instruction based on assessment results. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavior, and communicate this information to relevant staff members as required.

•Professional development and reflective practice: Engage in self-reflection and seek feedback from mentors and peers to improve your teaching methods and strategies. As a trainee this is vital to aid my progress. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth by attending training, workshops, and collaborating with experienced educators.

•Safeguarding: Ensure the welfare and safety of students in accordance with school policies and relevant legislation.

•Collaboration: Collaborate with other teachers, support staf, and parents to enhance the overall educational experience of students.

•Subject Knowledge: Deepen your understanding of the subject matter and stay updated on developments in science education.

•Professional Ethics: Adhere to the professional and ethical standards expected of teachers, maintaining confidentiality and respect for all students.

These responsibilities demonstrate my commitment to developing my skills and knowledge as a science educator while providing a clear understanding of my role as a PGCE and QTS Science trainee.
