• Manage smooth commissioning of the telecom project by Coordinating between the company and the Contractor.
• Supervise and Participate in FAT, SAT with client & contractor where possible,
• Receive the project documentation and all the technical information necessary to start the commissioning activity.
• Fill in the site report and agree the actions with the Service Manager prior to site commissioning or modification.
• Accomplish the requested preliminary activities like permission, gate pass, power on/shutdown permit, application programs download and documentation check using the proper software tools and instrumentation, according to company testing procedures.
• Verify the correctness of all the hardware connections between the system (MV System, Operator Interfaces, and other network devices) under test making sure that the installed cables and wiring are made according to the related documents and are working properly and install, verify the correct functionality of all the installed devices.
• Feedback to engineering department for improvements in schemes, corrections of drawings or any other modifications if required by customer at site after supply. Solve hardware and functional incongruence and mistake if any found during site testing phase, modifying the wrong hardware or software items involved and testing again the new hardware or software configuration.
• Update the system documentation with proper mark-ups and software configuration periodic update, maintaining due trace of all the changes, following company testing procedure indications, obtain the SAT (Site Acceptance Test) certificate from the client at the completion of the job, eventually with the list of the pending items not yet completed, in cooperation with the Project Leader and the Project Manager.
• Collect all the updated documentation at the conclusion of the commissioning job and send it to the Service Manager for the delivery of the Commissioned documents to the Engineering Department if changes have been made in agreement with Engineering Department. Attend, together with the client, third party devices official testing when included in the scope of supply directly at sub supplier s premises.
• At the end of the testing phase cooperate with Project leader and Project Manager for the delivery on site of the system, giving proper instruction to the company shipping department. Ove commissioning plans of telecom, WiMAX & SDH systems in accordance with project guidelines.
• Review designs and supervise onsite commissioning activities.
• Site surveys and adequacy checks for FO Cables, Patch panels, Cabinet space, UPS, etc.
• Worked with EPC crew for Construction, of Backbone Fiber Optic Infrastructure & LAN/WAN networking connecting Seventeen field sites/buildings.
• Attending End to End FOC testing along with FO splice team, Submission of FO Test reports to client.
• Installation & Cabling for Telecom Cabinets & equipment in TER/ITR (Equipment room).
• Installation and Cabling for CCTV systems, Installation and cabling for Structured Cabling, LAN /WAN, network cabinets.
• Installation /Tie in of Electrical Cables with UPS.
• Wireless Equipment /Radio installation, cable/trench inspections, supports for (Request for Inspection) RFI issuances.
• Project Schedule review & alignments with the site activities.
• To be an interface with different technical teams, Operations teams, Project Management teams and third parties as required to meet project milestones.
• Generation of requisition packages for local procurement process.
• Lead Mechanical Completion WT inspections-Commissioning & Commissioning activities; Site Acceptance Test (SAT), RFC, punch closings, handover.
• Preparation of Mechanical Completion Walk down packages, Preparation of RED Line Markup drawings.
• Responsible for installing and maintaining a variety of IT and cabling equipment. Assemble, install, configure and test Copper, Cat-5, Cat-6, and mainly Fiber Optic cables, FDH as well as other cabling equipment.
• GPON (Migration Copper to Fiber, FTTH, FTTX, FTTO Install & Manage Optical Network Terminal, Upgrading Routing systems, Modem Configurations, Fiber Connector Fixing) & Customer Handling
• Inspect or test lines or cables, recording and analysing test results, to assess transmission characteristics and locate faults or malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot and check certain problems and errors and do the necessary repair and maintenance routines for the cables to function normally again.
• Establish the networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation and defining, documenting and enforcing system standards
• Design and implement new solutions and improve resilience of the current IT environment
• Maximise network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with network architects on network optimisation
• Undertake data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments using information from multiple sources
• Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access
• Coordinate with ELV Subcontractors for any kind of site related coordination issues and concerns.
• Coordinate with the main contractor/consultant project engineer for any site related issues and concerns.
• Prepare weekly progress report and submit it to the project manager.
• Review the material status and coordinate with the material Engineer / Procurement for ensuring the material availability and its tracking.
• Daily review of site progress with supervisors and foreman’s to ensure that all the problems are tackled effectively and the work progress is as per schedule.

•Ensure that the deployed architecture for infrastructure, servers, PCs and peripherals meets the service level requirements in terms of expected availability, capacity, continuity, security, performance and reliability.
•Identify recurring problem areas, articulating trends for root cause analysis and providing information to problem management. Ensure that assigned problems are defined and analysis in line with the Problem Management Process. Ensure that solutions to problems meet the architectural standards within the technology area and impact to the business is minimized.
•To be an interface with different technical teams, applications teams and Customer support team and dissipate the solutions required for all incident management
•Liaise with vendors, IT coordinators and other IT teams to ensure a high level of system availability.
•Trouble ticket handling by Remedy Trouble Ticketing Server (RTTS) using BMC software.
