• Verify shop drawings, method statements, procedures, and other submissions and provide final approvals or recommendations to the Client, as required.
• Verify/Approve material submitted.
• Verify/Approve and monitor material movements/transfer and quantity authorizations for procurement
• Take part in material inspections, verify RCDR and provide required recommendation to the Client.
• Provide technical guidance and review with ARE’s the technical matters related to current site activities and verify that relevant information were forwarded to inspectors, AREs and to the Contractor.
• Monitor progress of work and recommend/monitor rectification action.
• Preparation of testing, commissioning of works and verification of results and follow up.
• Enforcing Contractor’s coordination with the End User representatives regarding protection of existing utilities and handing over of constructed works.
• Prepare/Verify the required reports (progress, inspection, review etc.)
• Preparation and monitoring completion of initial snag list issuing recommendation for final inspections handing over.
Construction Contract Administration .
• Verification of Contract Documentation and assisting in preparation the relevant Variation Orders.
• Taking part in project kick off meeting to ensure introduction of required procedures and to provide sufficient guidance for commencement of Contract Works and assess Contractor’s readiness to execute required works.
• Close coordination with the Client, providing him with all required information regarding site matters, advise him on proposed solutions/modifications, obtain approvals, instructions, forward on Client’s requirements to Consultant staff & Contractor, and ensure/monitor execution of the agreed actions.
• Prepare, review, distribute, action all Contract correspondence.
• Assess claims and new BOQ rates, evaluation, prepare relevant recommendation to the Client
• Verify proper coordination of the Contractor’s actions with other parties at site.
• Coordinate with other Consultants regarding contractual and technical matters.
• Liaison with all concerned authorities, departments with regard to the matters related to project.
• Monitoring completion of outstanding works and maintenance responsibilities by the Contractor and recommending/monitoring any required rectification action.
• Control of attendance and performance of the dependent staff and evaluation as per the company system.
• Overall control of execution and completion of project in accordance with Contract Agreement.
Progress Payments / Budget Control.
• Verify/Approve payment certificates and control project budget.
• Enforcing observation of site safety by the Contractor and the Consultant’s site staff.
• Preparation of handing over documentation.
• Taking part in handing over inspection and ensuring completion and distribution of relevant records and as-built documentation.
