I start my internship from "General Banking".In this department i learn how to deals with the customers, how to fill the deposit slips and cheques and how to fill the account opening forms and how to maintain the account opening register than i was shifted in the clearing department here i learn how cheques are cleared by NIFT and what is same day clearing and than i was transferred in TDR (Term Deposit Receipts) here i learn about "demand deposit" and "fixed deposit" and aiso about the "deposit mobilization".Deposit mobilization is basically a process of collecting saving from the savers and provide funds to the users.And i also learn how to record the TDR than i was transferred in "account section" here i leran that how the books of accounts are maintained by the bank. This department also responsible to maintain the record of all employees regrading their basic salary, increment, benefits etc. And in the last week of my internship i was shifted in the
" Renittance Depatment".Here i learn about the issuance procedure and the entries of the demand draft and pay order.Demand draft payable on demand and there of no chance of fraud in it and the pay order issued from one branch can only be payable from the same branch.Finally i would conclude that MCB is a great bank and i have a wonderful experience of werking there.
