Teacher at Copland Community School
  • United Kingdom - London
  • November 2002 to August 2013

I would be able to contribute enthusiasm, energy, flexibility, hard work and a sense of humour to the school. During the past academic years I have enjoyed the challenge of working in a large, mixed ability, multi-racial, mixed comprehensive schools.
My past experience has enabled me to be able to:
1. Prepare curriculum, teach, moderate students’ work and organise them for examinations
2. Teach mixed ability and multi-racial setting.
3. Use my skills in ICT and mathematics to help students and staff
4. Help EAL students to improve their English Language skills
I qualified in MA in ICT in Education, PGCE Information Technology, BSc (Hons) in Information Technology and Foundation Credits in Mathematics and Technology.
I gained several years of experience in tutoring students (small groups) at home and Saturday schools in GCSE level mathematics and RSA computer literacy. My training as an examiner and moderator improved my skills in preparing coursework and examinations. I can monitor GSCE Short course in Information Technology, develop a program of study, moderate ICT across key stages 3, 4 and 5. I can prepare, moderate and teaching GCE A Levels computing.
I used my lunch and after school times to help students of all abilities to develop on their IT and mathematics skills.
I am good at classroom management, keeping of records, counselling, and control of behavioural problems in the classroom.
Overall I feel it is important to create an environment in which all students succeed. I am prepared to learn, work in a team and abide by rules and regulations laid down by the school.
I look forward to be given the opportunity to work/teach in an educational institution in your country.
