Responsible for providing processing engineering support services to ensure continuous and efficient operation of plants and ensure product quality. Monitors performance of process units by means of plant parameters and laboratory analysis on regular basis. Interpret routine laboratory test results to operating conditions as appropriate and suggest necessary steps for corrective actions.
Conceptualizes / reviews plant modifications, checks data, design basis for new projects, reviews PFDs, P&IDs data sheets, drawings, participates in HAZOP/PHA, commissioning and performance tests in existing plants focusing on process safety, risk management, environment regulations compliance, increased productivity, energy efficiency, loss prevention and reliable plant operations.
Reviews existing technology and develops case for revamp and expansion plans or installation of new facilities to achieve overall improvement in plant performance and productivity.
Evaluation, planning and replacement of catalysts as per requirement and coordination with licensors. Reviews guarantees are met.
RFQ documents and specification sheets preparation for catalysts, chemicals, lube oils, equipments, piping and machinery by consulting literature (APIs, ASME, other standards and Licensor Manuals).
Prepares/reviews process-related capital and operating budgets taking into account past and present performance of the plants and new technological developments.
Updating Management Information Systems which include production statistics, energy, utilities & chemicals specific consumptions, production loss reports etc.
Application of process engineering simulation models and use of other software packages, computer tools.
Safe and smooth operation of the Units and meeting production targets
Operation, commissioning, emergency handling and monitoring of the equipments, maintaining process parameters within the guidelines
Preparation of as build P&IDs of 25, 000 BPD distillation unit
Installation supervision and commissioning of cooling tower
Planning and execution of reforming catalyst replacement/ regeneration
Supervised 18, 000 BPD crude decanting and pumping operation from oilfield to refinery
Preparation of operating procedures, shut down planning and training of the employees
