Academic Projects Redevelopment of Elland Road Football Stadium, University of Leeds (2023) The objective of this project was to increase the capacity of the stadium by introducing a new stand and redesigning the existing roof structure to achieve a ‘bowl-like’ structure as per the clients’ requirements. Two design schemes were proposed and compared based on cost, sustainability, aesthetics and buildability. I designed a 50 m steel roof cantilever and all the critical members of the new stand such as steel column, raker beam, precast seating, primary and secondary beams, composite slab, bracings, welded connection and pile foundation. Design of New Light Industrial Building in Humberside, University of Leeds (2023) The objective of this project was to design a portal frame with a mezzanine floor. I designed the rafter, column, connection between the rafter and column, bracings, a 10 m composite beam and bolted end plate connections.
