My responsibilities include the following while working with Al Ard Al Thahabia (A sister company of EarthLink Telecommunications, Iraq, but operating in UAE as Al Ard Al Thahabia):
Level 3 technical support for operational issues of P2 & P1 being reported in EarthLink Telecom network including broadband services as well as collaborating with Vendors/ISPs like Cisco, F5, BlueCoat, Brocade, Mikrotik, Level3, GCX/Reliance, TATA, and IQ Networks. Most often devising plans to implement and/or integrate new technologies and/or services as required.
Devising ISG Design and Implementation
Devising IPv6 Design and Rollout
Implementing Cisco IP NBAR2 (Flexible NetFlow), nDPI, and ntopng for deep packet inspection
Developing Mobile Data Offloading to serve 3G Telecom operators
MPLS Design and rollout for International connectivity as well as National MPLS Cloud
Network change and optimization in Core as well as in Access network for Broadband Subscribers and Corporate Customers
My responsibilities include the following while working for the client, Huawei Technologies:
*Installation, up-gradation, Integration, Testing, and Services Migration of a Telco provider’s network services and its customers on provider’s MPBN consisting of Huawei portfolio (Routers: NE40E-X8, NE40E-X3, AR3200, AR2200. Switches: Quidway S9300 series, S5300 series, S3700 series. Firewalls: Eudemon8000E-X8, E8000E-X16. NMS: U2000. DPI: SIG9800. Syslog: E-Log).
*Designing, planning, and providing solutions as per the customer requirements in an ICT network environment.
*Documentation of Service ATP for features & functionality tests of Huawei Routers & Switches and also different failover scenarios in the Network (SP Topology) were provided as well as ensuring smooth traffic flows.
*Being part of the team responsible to review design documents (HLD, LLD) and provide feedback to rectify any anomalies and include any missing design options while understanding the customer’s current MPBN network.
Handling customer cases and day to day issues related to IP/MPLS MPBN with Huawei GTAC.
*Support for Mobilink MPBN (Mobile Packet Backbone Network) consisting of Juniper portfolio of EX4200 L2/L3 switches, M120, M320, MX480 routers, Cisco portfolio of 2621XM, 2811, C3560, C3750, 7200, 7609 switches & routers; and Juniper's SRX 3400, ISG2K, NS5200, SSG520M, IDP8200, STRM 5K, and NSMXpress Juniper security & management platforms.
*Support for reported issues related to Customer's WiMAX Core Network consisting of Redback/Ericsson SE 400/800/1200 MSER, Foundry/Brocade XMR 4000, CAPC, and Motorola EMS on top of Solaris OS, NetOP EMS, and NetOP PM.
*Support for Juniper’s ISG2K, NS5200, SSG520M, SSG140, IDP8200, NSM, STRM security & management platforms.
*Support for ensuring smooth flow of services such as NSN & Huawei R4, PS Core, IN, VAS, CRBT+BGM, HLS & NT-HLR, GMSC, O&M, SMSC-MMSC, IT, WiMAX, and Internet over the IP/MPLS Network of Mobilink.
*Handling customer cases and day to day issues related to IP/MPLS MPBN with JTAC/ATAC & CISCO TAC.
*Routine design & configuration changes, new configurations, services integration, and up-grades (SW & HW) activities.
Major responsibilities included handling priority based Service Requests by customer regarding ASN/Core (Redback/Ericsson SE 400/800/1200 MSER, Foundry/Brocade XMR 4000, CAPC, and EMS), RAN, and IP MW Back-haul of Mobilink WiMAX Network in Pakistan by giving Level 2/3 support as an escalation point to the customer. Set up E2E LT WiMAX Network test bed that included implementation, integration, and support of Redback/Ericsson SE 100 MSER, Cisco, free RADIUS AAA, DHCP, DNS, and NTP and the network's NBI connectivity with Cisco Router and SBI connectivity with IP RAN. Responsibilities included implementing, integrating, testing, and supporting Motorola WiMAX 4.0 ASN/Core as well as IP RAN & Back-haul solution for Wi-Tribe WiMAX Network.
*Played a critical role in bringing up Mobilink WiMAX Network after a major power breakdown in MSC that included bringing up Broadband customer traffic by recovering WiMAX Core Elements and RAN nodes.
*Successfully Integrated IBM NMS with Motorola EMS by resolving alarm reporting issues to NMC Netcool.
*Conducted FoA, NPI, NFT, and ATP of MotoWi4 WiMAX 4.0 ASN and RAN (DAP Duo) solutions.
*Successfully integrated Wireless IP MW Backhaul, WiMAX RAN, and ASN for Wi-tribe WiMAX Network and conducted QoS, VoIP, Latency, Jitter, Frame Loss, and Throughput testing; and the network acceptance as well.
*Designed ATP/PAC document for IP RAN and helped customer to plan, design, and revise Network Topology.
Key responsibilities included conducting LOS Surveys, Path Profiling, Link Budgeting using PathLoss 4, planning, designing, implementation, integration as well as troubleshooting, and Link Testing of IP Radio Backhaul (DragonWave Horizon Compact) solution for Mobilink WiMAX Network. Also, giving support to customer in optimizing the network, creating & revising Link Budgets, resolving issues regarding Packet Radio Backhaul, and its integration with the Cisco portfolio. Have implemented and configured Tellabs cross-connect solution for Mobilink GSM Network.
*Lead teams of technicians & riggers to survey, implement, align, integrate, and test Packet Radio Links of Mobilink Network.
*Managed successfully to resolve day to day issues faced by customer regarding Packet Radio Backhaul.
*Introduced point-to-point testing of Packet Radio Links by using JDSU Smartclass Ethernet tester for Throughput, Latency, Jitter, and Frame Loss testing to meet RFC2544 Benchmark values.
1st prize for winning “To the Hills and Back” competition held by Adventure Club, GIKI. Lead the Faculty football team to win the Inter-Faculty Football Tournament in GIKI. Member of Batch & Faculty Football Team. Played active role in managing first All Pakistan E-gaming Tournament held by NETRONIX at GIKI. Executive member of GIKI Adventure Club.
