NPM Apparels is a LEED Gold certified woven garments factory which serves reputed customers around the globe. As a GM (HR, Engineering & Compliance) and project Manager of the factory, I have the below responsibilities:
1. Monitor, Supervise & Control overall HR, Engineering & Compliance team.
2. Overall project construction management of new projects of the group including vendor management, preparing project budget & estimation, manage local stakeholders and ensure proper execution of the project following well planned timeline.
3. Planning, budgeting, developing, updating and implementing different policies and procedures pertaining to the strategies of HR, Engineering & Compliance.
4. Preparing to face different compliance audits (ACCORD, RSC, BSCI, BCI, Social, Technical, CT PAT & QMS) Etc .
4. Coordinate with top management and shoulder responsibilities.
5. Improve the operational systems and policies, develop MIS/ reporting system.
6. Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
7. Selection & Recruitment proficiency: ensure appropriate recruitment action plan to support talent sourcing. Manage the recruiting process to attract and hire qualified candidates for position vacancies within the company.
8. Responsible for ensuring healthy workplace maintaining efficient operation of Safety, Hygiene and Environment.
9. To maintain the LEED certification of the building.

Key Role:
1. Maintaining a trustworthy, safe and transparent supply base covering over 500 factories in 20 countries. Support the leadership team to develop & implement the Environment Social Governance (ESG) and Ethical Trade Strategy.
3. Designing and implementing the global ethical trade and sustainability programme. Supporting the business through the generation of Sustainability and Ethical Trade reports. Full responsible for managing 42 factories ACCORD audits.
4. Managing external stakeholder relationships such as UN Global Compact, Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) and Accord.
5. Writing and continually updating company policies to remain in line with evolving legislation and industry best practice.
6. Conducting ethical audits in our global supply chain and regularly visit our factories to assess standards. Ensures the company is compliant with a multitude of global legislations.
7. Driving projects on environmental sustainability and global complex Human Rights issues by engaging with industry experts and external stakeholders.
DNV GL was founded on 1864 and is an independent expert in risk management and quality assurance. I worked as a lead auditor under their Certification services in Kolkata, India office and my key areas of work were:
1. Conducted more than 200 audits on various standards e.g: BSCI, SMETA, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, SA8000 both in Bangladesh & India
2. Conducted social & technical audits on buyer CoC. Scheduling audits & reporting
3. Involved in consultation work for factory preparation for ACCORD
Sonia Group has 4 factory units of sweater production factories in Bangladesh and I was responsible to lead the HR, Admin & Compliance department. My Key activities & achievement are:
1. Lead an engineering team to prepare the group factories for ACCORD / ALLIANCE audits.
2. Develop HR policies and guidelines, and ensure that they are compiled by all supervisors and employees.
3. Develop and implement structured benefits and compensation systems in line of company's policies and industry practices and ensure compliance within the company.
4. Conducting internal audits of factories. Developing & planning the training activities.
5. Design and develop revised organization structure as per requirement of the organization. Plan to re-arrange people within the organization in order to get maximum efficiency.
6. Lead a team to prepare working environments in accordance with social compliance standards as well as Sedex, BSCI, WRAP & ISO's requirements.
7. Key person in sustainable safety management programme and chemical management programme
I started my career in a power plant of Agreeko International, a leading service provider in power sector globally. My regular responsibility was to operation & maintenance of power plant machineries & equipment, generating power reports, inventory management, facility management etc. Key role was to coordinate the H&S management in the power plant, Incident reporting & accident investigation, training the incumbents on fire safety etc.
My GPA is 3.52 and I secured 10th position among 120 students in my department.
