o Ordering the given items in time at right price. Items handled - Insulation for Boiler and steam piping

Role: Budget Controller, Procurement Coordinator & Expeditor
o Procurement Co-ordination - Follow up and Tracking the materialization of Purchase Requisition into Purchase Order (Pre-Order Follow up) . Updating the MSR.
o Maintaining the records and Ensuring Payment to vendors in line with project progress and available funds
o Expediting - Follow up with the vendors for progress and faster deliver
o Preparing forecast funds (normally next 3 months) requirement based on priority, ordering status and expected status (Cash Flow requirement)
o Co-ordination with buyers, Engineering, vendors, F&A to solve day to day issues
o Follow up with Client for availability / demand of Funds (Cash/ LC limits),
o Budget Monitoring - Monitoring the commitments (PR & PO) against the budget scope (variance) in a budget control sheet and forecasting cost at completion
o Budget Control - Taking up the discripancies with concerns (Client company, Engineering, Projects Team, etc) to meet budget.
o Management of master data in SAP (PS and MM Module) such as creation of WBS hierarchy, budget release and monitoring, Monitoring the cost and commitments, PO release, etc.
o Reporting - Preparing various reports required (periodic and special) by top management and giving input to the seniors for discussion
o Various Reports includes -Summary of Budget and Costs status, Individual Project Summary system-wise, Payment and balance to pay status, Funds requirement reports/ Cash Flow; Project Valuation Reports; Cost and Sales forecast for Qtr/ year; etc.
Role: Budgeting/ Tendering and Estimation
o Preparing the strategy for deciding the major supplier for upcoming projects of External Clients under bidding
o Estimation of upcoming power projects based on offers and past data.
o Study of the Customer Enquiry document for Engineering, EPCM services and EPC projects
o Coordination with engineering team for man-hours estimates for Engg, EPCM services
o Proposal Engineering and estimation for EPC/ ePC jobs.
o Preparation of Techno-commercial Proposal / Scope document to submit to the customer.
o Preparation of techno-commercial enquiry specification for procurement.
o Techno-commercial tabulation & evaluation of vendors quotation
o Independent technical discussions and negotiation on offers received for valves (Domestic and international bidders) and Metallic penetration bellows
o Preparation of order execution plan and monitoring the progress for delivery of the items in line with project schedule
o Co-ordination between vendors and customer for review and approval of the vendor documents like GA drawings, Procedures, QA Plans, design calculations, etc.
o Coordinated with Quality Dept/ TPI for inspection
o Expedited various vendors by visiting their factory to resolve various issues to meet delivery dates
o Ensuring payments to vendor and invoicing to customer
o Order close out activities like final documentation like as built drawings, instruction manuals.
o Monitoring time to time changes made by client in the billing schedule (Contract)
o Ensuring ordering of all the billing schedule items by procurement dept and billing by invoicing dept
