Responsible for end to end finance operations of Auto Support Businesses division including several businesses, namely:
o Trade In o Consolidated body shop o Kromozone KSA
o Accessories o Consolidated warehouses o MOI Maintenance
o Bumper to Bumper o Avis, Europcar & Leasing o Lubes, Tires & Batteries wholesale
Ensuring integrity and accuracy of internal and external financial reporting and accounting, along with meeting internal and external audit requirements
Manage the cyclical accounting closing on monthly basis and assisting in the consolidation process
Establishing a coherent work structure where it allows to manage, coach and development the finance team
Partnering with the business heads to provide insightful and value adding analysis, create useful dashboards and managing extensive data analysis
Providing executive management with updates on the implementation of businesses strategies and raising red flags when necessary
Creating and promote highly cost effective structure through cost reduction exercises and zero based budgeting
Leading the budget and quarterly reforecasts processes of the above businesses.
Manage businesses liquidity, health of the balance sheet and maintain corporate treasury cash flow requirement
Preparing feasibility studies for business expansions in new facilities and acquiring agencies.
Developing and prepare daily, monthly, KPI’s reports for senior management/business heads.
Creating bonus/incentive schemes for operational staff which promote value creation and achievement of goals and objectives to the organization.
Responsible for finance operations of several business with in the automotive division including:
o Bumper to Bumper (BTB), BTB KSA, BTB Fleet Maintenance;
o Lubricants, tires, batteries (LTB); and
o Avis, europcar & leasing.
Prepare budgets and quarterly reforecasts of the above businesses.
Prepare feasibility studies for business expansions in new facilities and acquiring agencies.
Prepare marketing campaign breakeven points.
Provide monthly estimates to senior management of the financial performance of the business.
Manage and supervise monthly closing of financial statements of the businesses.
Develop and prepare daily, monthly, KPI’s reports for senior management/operations.
Prepare bonus schemes for operational staff.
Review and analysis orders of lubricants, Tires, Batteries & additives.
Other key projects include:
o Conducting a costing/pricing analysis of the businesses.
o Carrying out receivables review and proposing controls to minimize exposures.
o Enhancing the ordering template for the supply chain department to enhance the inventory utilization.
o Establishing a payroll/headcount dashboard for the automotive division.
Some of the main responsibilities assigned to me including, but not limited to:
Performing extensive economic and industry research and market assessment over various sectors in the MENA region and internationally.
Undertaking and developing financial feasibility studies of various business operating in the oil and gas, healthcare, retail, real estate, construction, entertainment, financial services, non-profit and food & beverage sectors.
Carry out valuation and pricing analysis exercises using various methodologies including:
o Discounted cash flow approach;
o Market multiples approach;
o Net asset value approach; and
o Assets/sum of parts approach.
Analyzing third party real estate appraisals based on the appropriate methodologies
Conducting buy-side/sell-side advisory services for targets in various industries.
Providing restructuring advisory services.
Carrying out financial and legal due diligence on various companies operating in several sectors.
Allocating tasks to joiner members of the team
Mentoring and evaluating the performance of interns
Responsibilities for various engagements include:
• Preparing a commercial due diligence and a valuation of a leading healthcare service provider in Kuwait;
• Carrying out a business plan and valuation of a major wood processing machinery manufacturer in Germany;
• Assisting a listed entity in carrying out a valuation of its portfolio for the entity's credit purpose;
• Carrying out a valuation of a renowned listed entity and most of its underlying assets for a debt to asset swap;
• Carrying out a valuation of major family leading conglomerate business and its subsidiaries operating across several industries including shipping, oil and gas, building materials and equipment supplies;
• Preparing financial feasibility study for establishing a zoological and entertainment park in Kuwait;
• Carrying out a pricing analysis of a client's portfolio composing of quoted and unquoted regional securities, which is proposed to be used as collateral;
• Carrying out a valuation of a cardboard box manufacturing company in Kuwait; and
• Preparing various market and sector research of various sectors including: oil and gas, retail, automotive, electronics, construction, recreational, leasing, foreign exchange and manufacturing.
