• Manages network operations including: troubleshooting connectivity problems; installing & maintaining routers; establishing e-mail; assessing and reporting operational status.
• performing backups and restores; etc..
• Performs routine preventive maintenance on hardware and software.
• Follow up on requests for office maintenance and contact suppliers to solve the issues.
• Collect the IT purchase requests from the different departments in JFA Offices, and follow the relevant procurement procedures;
• Maintain regular contact with IT suppliers and ensure the quality of the IT goods/services delivered is in line with JFA standards;
• Prepare and manage the IT storage inventory and movement (in and out) and verify the deliveries.
• Conduct staff training on computer basics and networking. Assist, as needed, with developing databases or other windows application needs for program and operational staff.
• Responsible use and confidentiality of any information identified as sensitive.
• Regularly update anti-virus programs are ensure the entire network and computers are virus-free.
• Repair and maintain LAN-s, internet systems and general IT maintenance.
• Oversee repair of computers and IT equipment at a local level, when possible - facilitate and advise on best, safest and most economic solutions.
• Maintain the JFA mail server and assign addresses as requested by the HR Department.
• Maintain proper documentation of all IT equipment including; system profiles, warranties and IT stock/accessories.
• Assist in identifying specification, relocation and assembly of any equipment including computers, printers and accessories systems in JFA offices, as required.
