1. Participate in multidisciplinary consultations with national clinicians and/or associations to conduct patient-specific assessment protocols and develop treatment prescriptions.
2. Organize and coordinate assessments and treatment appointments with national clinicians and associations, considering diverse populations of different ages with musculoskeletal disorders, neuromuscular disorders, genetics and congenital disorders, and post-surgical rehabilitation needs.
3. Set individualized intervention plans based on assessment results and medical diagnoses, while coordinating with paramedical specialists to design patient-centered objectives.
4. Regularly update patients' files and medical records to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
5. Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the intervention plan, providing regular follow-up assistance as needed.
6. Deliver training sessions on physical therapy-related topics to physiotherapy assistants in the center, enhancing their knowledge and skills.
7. Conduct awareness sessions for parents, caregivers, and beneficiaries to educate them about the importance of rehabilitation and guide them through the necessary steps for improvement.
8. Prescribe suitable orthotic devices and mobility aids based on patients' physical status, facilitating their mobility and functionality.
Providing physical and Reflex Therapy sessions for disabled patients at their homes and educating their families about their condition.
the target of the project is to provide 120 Internally displaced persons with disabilities (IDPs) in southern area with rehabilitation sessions, assistive devices and mobility aid and referring them to other services.
As A Physical Therapist and Focal Point between women's Humanitarian Organization and Handicap International My responsibilities were:
1. Participating in field trips for 5 shelters and host communities to reach IDPS with disabilities
2. Organizing and coordinating with municipalities in south of lebanon for implementationof the project..
2. Assessing and providing PT sessions for IDPs.
3. Providing IDPs with assistive devices and mobility aid after assessing their condition and adjust the device and provide them and their caregivers on correct method of using it.
4.Providing educational and training session for the caregivers (the suitable therapeutic ex/positioung/ prevention of pressure ulcer....).
5. Referring beneficiaries to rehabilitation centers and ngos to receive other services like speech and occupational therapy and orthotics based on map of servicesand clear referral system.
6. Monitoring beneficiaries progress and continuity of care planning.
7. Sharing in PSS sessions and inclusion activities with psychologist and the social worker.
8. Documenting and recording the data about beneficiaries physical status, items recieved and their needs.
9. Updating the list received from Union of Tyre Municipalities about IDPs with disability whose displaced in south area and determining the types of disability of each one and determining their needs.
10. Writing the narrative report at the end of the project.
1. Assist in teaching the practical part of Intervention I Lab during spring semester.
This course covers basic principles, physiologic effects, indications and contraindications, application and
usage of equipment, and intervention rationale for thermotherapy, hydrotherapy, cryotherapy, massage
therapy, assistive/adaptive, prosthetic, orthotic devices and functional taping principles are discussed, in addition to
basic patient handling and transfer skills as well as foundations of therapeutic exercises and techniques.
