• Estimating quantity as per Approved Construction drawings based on actual onsite change in quantity as per site conditions.
• Coordinate with the site construction team and Engineering department to finalize and certify the actual physical work done at the site to facilitate subcontractor payments.
• Review of scope of work, project preamble, drawings, and specifications.
• Ensure quantity take off by the QS Team is within the company standards and project requirements and scheduled Scope is available in the system for Monitoring.
• Evaluations of Site Instruction with Planned cost in comparison to the originally approved contract scope of work and identify differences in scope of works and subsequently finalize the site instruction with planned cost and submit to the Cost Control Team and get approval from the Company.
• Ensure that the subcontractor submits a new price if the activity is not included in the original scope of works and subsequently process the new price for evaluation and approval from management.
• Assessment of change work Orders and Variations (Subcontractor and Client) in line with the Contract of Agreement.
• Conduct detailed cost estimations for construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
• Utilize industry-standard methods and software to ensure accurate and reliable cost projections.
• Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring that projects stay within financial constraints.
• Measure and quantify the materials and resources required for construction projects.
• Use standardized measurement systems and practices to ensure consistency and precision in quantity calculations.
• Review and comprehend structural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other project documents to understand the design intent.
• Produce detailed shop drawings that illustrate how specific components or systems will be fabricated, installed, and constructed.
• Ensure that shop drawings accurately reflect the design and meet project requirements, codes, and standards.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to clarify design details and resolve any discrepancies or conflicts in the drawings.
• Prepare cost analysis based on the architectural drawings, engineering estimates, materials required, and labor involved.
• Prepare cost plans to enable design teams to produce practical designs for construction projects, which involve liaising with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
• Control all stages of projects within predetermined budget and expenditure.
