manage and develop the fitness department. Fitness Managers provide training and leadership across departments to ensure quality of fitness services, and overall customer service. Fitness Managers are also responsible for overall revenue generation of personal training services to attain short and long term financial goals.
There are two primary responsibilities of a Fitness Manager. All other items can be defined as tasks and duties; which support these two primary responsibilities:
HIRING, MANAGING, COACHING, AND DEVELOPING STAFF
TOTAL SERVICE REVENUE :This includes hitting or exceeding the gym’s budget for month and yearly total service revenue
Assist The FM in the daily Personal Training Systems and all Daily operational Tracking documents.

• ensure the efficient and effective day to day supervision of the gym, including all staff and group fitness instructors.
• Promotion of business and customer satisfaction to enhance the image of the facility and the s• supervise all gym staff to ensure a smooth and efficient workforce.
• cover holiday and sickness of gym staff.
• administer and organize gym staff annual leaves in accordance with council policy.
•Develop the gym to its maximum potential in order to achieve predetermined income and usage targets.

• identify and assist staff with training and continuous professional development
• assist in the recruitment and appointment of any new staff.
• Conduct fitness tests and prepare individual programmes for customers
• ensure all equipment is maintained in a safe working order and action any repairs as required.

Observed participants and informed them of corrective measures necessary for skill improvement.
Taught proper breathing techniques used during physical exertion.
Evaluated individuals' abilities, needs, and physical conditions, and develop suitable training programs to meet any special requirements.
Planed physical education programs to promote development of participants' physical attributes and social skills.
Provided participants with information and resources regarding nutrition, weight control, and lifestyle issues.
