Responsibilities -Director of Inspection Operations Department in the Middle Sector of SFDA:
• Handling day-to-day activities of the Inspection Operations Department, effectively coordinating and executing new processes while ensuring optimum inspection Operations of food, drug, medical device, pesticide and feed establishments in local markets.
• Played a key role in establishing key procedures for seamless clearance of incoming shipments (food, drug, medical devices, cosmetics, tobacco, pesticide and feed) through the Border ports.
• Fostering effective coordination- internally with SFDA departments and external authorities/vendors/ distributors and shippers to ensure uninterrupted shipment.
• Providing leadership, organization and coordination for all operations by establishing plans, budgets, and result measurements as well as ensuring all employees meet the SFDA norms, statutory, standards, and internal requirements.

• Instrumental in managing all aspects of the regulatory process - compilation, risk and safety review and submission to achieve accurate & timely results.
• History of implementing HACCP system in food factories and applying quality systems for over 1000 factories in KSA
• Vast experience in establishing goals and indicators to measure employee performance and imposing quality systems to monitor the various aspects of inspection to ensure the final product meets set specifications, regulations and legislation.
• Promoted HACCP awareness across many factories and regions in addition to making it obligatory to follow these norms by all factories in the Kingdom.

• Played a vital role in conducting food and water factories in liaison with joint supervisory committees with government supervisory authorities.
• Led the development and implementation of regulatory strategy and ensured compliance with changes and modifications.

External visits:
• Served as a member of the official Saudi delegation formed by the SFDA and the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture to the Republic of Egypt in May 2017 and met the Egyptian Minister of Agriculture and specialists in the Ministry to review the Egyptian regulatory authorities to ensure the safety of farmed fish products for exporting fish to the KSA and the European Union, as well as fish farming farms, and prepare a detailed report on the status of each facility and the procedures.
• Selected as a member of the official Saudi delegation formed by SFDA and MEWA to the Republic of Vietnam in Dec 2017 to meet the CEO of the Vietnamese Control Authority for Fish Products and the Authority’s specialists. Visited the exporting facilities to KSA, assessed fish farms and exporting facilities, and compiled detailed reports and observations.
• Visited the regulatory authorities in Ireland (Food Safety Authority, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Agriculture, Research, Training Center, and Reference Laboratory) to observe Irish experience in applying the HACCP system in large/small food establishments, 2018.
• Travelled to the food establishments in several European countries, America, Canada, Singapore, and Australia, to see the quality standards applied.
