Full Oracle EBS R12 (12.2.4) Implementation Life Cycle
as a technical analyst, i was responsible mainly for three roles (Analysis, Development, Administration).
⚝⚝ Analysis :
Do recommendations for the most suitable approaches among available ones in the following areas, after searching and demonstrating the pros&cons for each approach to the management, to help them take the decision of choosing a specific approach to implement according to project budget:
1- Choosing Oracle EBS release.
2- System Architecture Design, and SW/HW options.
3- Hardware Sizing, following optimized solution sizing guidelines.
4- Planning Backup&Recovery Strategies, tools, schedules.
5- Applications Cloning procedures and tools.
6- Versioning & Source Control technologies.
7- Perform Problems and Gaps analysis, and design appropriate solutions, and share in implementing them.
⚝⚝ Development :
Complete Oracle EBS R12.2.4 development activities ( developing reports, form personalization, form customization, WF customization, creating fix scripts for application issues, using APIs, etc..) for business cycles (P2P, O2C, F2A, B2C) including the following modules
( ALR, AME, AR, AP, BOM, CE, FA, GL, GME, GMP, INV, MRP, ONT, PO, QP, WSH, ZX )
⚝⚝ Administration (System+Application+Database):
Perform system administration tasks like :
1- Oracle Linux 6.5, 7 installation, configuration, maintenance.
2- Oracle EBS R12.2.4 and prerequisites installation.
3- write shell scripts to perform automated tasks.
Perform Applications administration tasks like :
1- Manage Backup&Recovery procedures and strategies.
2- Utilizes (AD) utilities to perform maintenance of the multi-node EBS environment (Patching, cloning, Re-linking, Configuring, etc)
3- managing and administering Concurrent Managers, Concurrent Programs, Request Sets, Request Groups, Workflows, and troubleshooting Workflow Mailer/Notification issues
4- Managing Oracle Application Security (Responsibilities, users, menus, functions, etc..)
5- search for bugs and issues on metalink, and Apply appropriate patches and data fixes
6- Using Predefined Alerts, and Customized Alerts.
Perform database administration tasks like:
1- Evaluate Oracle Database features and Oracle related products.
2- Monitoring Performance and Perform database tuning using SQL Trace, Explain Plan, Indexing and Hints.
3- maintain data integrity and security.
Tools : Oracle EBS R12 (12.2.4), Dev10g, SqlDeveloper, WF Builder, Metalink, XML publisher, eTRM.
⚝ Leading Oracle development team (resources, tasks, and time management)
⚝ Complete Upgrade Cycle From EBS 11i (11.5.10) to EBS 12i (12.0.3) modifications.
⚝ ORACLE EBS 12i (12.0.3) and 11i (11.5.10) development (AR, AP, ONT, PO, INV, HR, GL, WIP, CRM Modules),
and form personalization
⚝ ORACLE Dev6i, Dev10g, IAS10g, XML publisher, Discoverer (Basics) development
⚝ Oracle EBS Work Flow (WF) Customization
⚝ External Warehouse Management System (WMS) integration
⚝ Creating Requirements Specifications document
⚝ Sharing Oracle development team (resources, tasks, and time management)
⚝ ORACLE Dev6, Dev6i, Dev10g, IAS10g development
⚝ Maintain Database stability, doing daily backup and monitoring database tasks.
⚝ Meeting with clients and data gathering
⚝ Creating Requirements Speci cations document
⚝ Creating Design document, Designing database.
⚝ Maintain Database stability, doing daily backup and monitoring database tasks.
⚝ Estimating tasks time, Creating Design document
