Projects: Operation, Maintenance & Upgrading of Storm Water Networks & Pump Stations in Al Ain and its Region, contracts I & II

Work within this Contract comprises the Operation, Maintenance and Upgrading of the Storm water networks including Pumping Stations and Force Mains in the major conurbations of Al Ain and its Region. The storm water networks included in both Contracts cover the entire Al Ain city and adjacent Regions.

The extent of the work required consists to some 67, 000 Gullies, 26, 000 Manholes, 650 Soakaways, 195 Outfalls, 20, 000 lm culverts, 7 underpass pumping stations, 12 subway pumping stations and 1, 350, 000 lm Pipelines.

Responsibilities included the following:

 Performing proactive regular planned inspection, operations & maintenance for stormwater networks at the specified intervals.
 Continuous development and implementation of operation and maintenance plans for networks in order to achieve the most appropriate management practices and maintenance strategies to prolong asset useful life, increase cost effectiveness and improve system performance.
 Identification and reporting of operational problems, including sufficient investigation to estimate budget cost of solution where relevant.
 Ongoing reporting of the condition of all assets including providing information for the TPD’s “Microstation” software and AACM’ GIS.
 Performing stormwater asset surveys in Al Ain City & its region and updating the stormwater assets data/drawings in CMMS and GIS.
 Reviewing the contractor’s proposals for upgrading works of stormwater network and ensure the compliance with AACM specifications and standards.
 Monitoring all upgrading/construction works on site for compliance with specifications, agreed procedures and safe methods of working.
 Evaluation and examination of all claims raised by the Contractor for time extensions and extra costs for additional works and forwarding recommendations to the client.
