As the IBM Payments solutions Subject Matter Expert, I successfully engage with clients as the lead consultant.
Reporting directly to the Director of Pre-sales Architecture, and engaging with senior business and IT leaders and executives to drive Real-time Payments solutions globally with Mastercard clients on a national infrastructure level.

Spring Java / Groovy on Grails developer within the Product Store team working on the process/workflow aspects of Deutsche Bank's Product Store web applications:
* Service Catalogue (the Product Store) is the client information portal for services. This site is undergoing extensive development, with the aim of making the site a one-stop-shop for clients.
* Building onboarding workflows (built on JBPM and Grails)
* Re-writing some JBPM processes as Grails Workflows
As the IBM FTM Subject Matter Expert, I successfully designed and delivered applications based on IBM’s Financial Transactions Manager (FTM) at Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) in London, making LBG Europe’s largest payments system facilitating 40% of the UK’s payments.
In addition, I was responsible for implementing bespoke components that were eventually adopted by the FTM product team including:
• A customised solution for implementing Message Authentication Code (MAC) security by interfacing with a CICS application and cryptographic hardware as per security requirements at Lloyds Banking Group (LBG).
• A Java application for automatically updating and testing our inbuilt Swift messaging validation engine.
• Application benchmarking and testing on site at IBM in Montpellier France for the duration of the LBG benchmarking exercises. My role as the application SME involved working alongside IBM application benchmark testing experts in their labs to ensure the application was correctly deployed, tested and benchmarked.
• Undertaking numerous projects with Prolifics UK, the largest end-to-end systems integrator specialising in IBM technologies:
BT Project - WMQ Consultant/Designer: - designed and enhanced BT’s Enterprise Messaging Backbone system integration platform, as well as acting as the MQ design team Architect/Designer.
- designed, developed and delivered solutions based on WMQ.
Selfridges Project - WMB Solutions Architect/Developer/Consultant: - enhanced and supported Selfridges’s ecommerce system integration platform, acting as the WMB/MQ team technical lead and the project lead for system capacity planning.
- designed, developed and delivered solutions based on WMB, WMQ, Java and Bash scripts, including writing Java Compute codes for message transformations and debugging message flows.
- created Bash scripts and deployed project release codes on Production and UAT systems.
BP Project - Application Support: - enhanced and supported the BP IAMP J2EE application, along with managing and maintaining weekly updates of the BP IAMP application.
- acted as the technical consultant on the BP IAMP weekly support conference call.
- managed the BP IAMP migration to IBM India and mentored IBM India consultants during the knowledge transfer process.
MotherCare Project - WMB Developer/Application Tester: - enhanced and supported the MMS application integration, creating message flows, writing ESQL codes, setting up DB/scripts and enhancing the MQ unit Java code.
- implemented automated build and deploy Ant scripts and deployed project release codes.
- created test case, executing and managing test exercises and documentation.
- created JUnit/Integration test suites, as well as logging/tracking defects with JIRA and debugging message flows.
• Further projects included working as a WMB Developer/Support on the Promethean Project and as a WMB Consultant/Developer on POC projects for clients such as DHL, NHS, Saudi Hollandi Bank and Kent Reliance Building Society.
• Worked as a general IT Consultant on several internal WMB integration projects.
• Provided software/web development expertise across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions.
• Supported numerous projects including implementing a web-based Technology Matrix (written in Java) and managing a team website disaster recovery project.
