Having to directly report to the Head of Private Banking from Rajagiriya Branch I have been tasked to
grow the branch asset base and achieve a personal target of 300 million individually through new business
development initiatives.
* I also manage liabilities with an annual target of 36 million in personal loans, 60 salary based accounts
apart from 25 million per month Fixed deposit growth targets.
* Assist the branch manager in Operational matters when need arises and cover up for Branch Manager
as and when required.
* Advice clients on loan processing, account opening and regulations in order to have a smooth
on boarding process.
* Handle all account opening, loan processing documentation and provide best solutions for the client.
* Visit and service client requirement as and when required on a daily basis.
* Continuously follow and adhere to Banks Policies and regulations.

Prestige Banking (Islamic Banking)
* Working closely with senior management; I am directly tasked with growing the bank’s high net-worth
asset base of clients with personal financial portfolios in excess of LKR 10 million.
* Apart from advising my highly affluent clientele on tailor-made, sharia compliant, and non-conventional
investment products; a large part of my work-day is also spent on new business development initiatives.
Direct Sales Agent
* Working for one of the largest financial institutions in the Middle East; I actively managed a diversified
client portfolio within its asset base comprised primarily of foreign expatriates in addition to Arab locals.
Actively canvassing for new business in terms of selling Credit Cards, Personal Loans and Salary accounts.
* This short albeit gainful opportunity allowed me to explore the financial eco-system of one of the fastest
growing regions in the Middle East while growing my financial maturity vis-à-vis global banking systems.
Working closely with my Branch Manager; I was responsible for driving the sales agenda and achieving
budget targets across the entire spectrum of HSBC offerings including premier and advance products.
* My operational duties ranged from overseeing teller transactions and account openings to managing
customer relations and key client accounts as well as handling all promotional and PR campaigns.
* I was also responsible for overseeing the effective running of several back-office operations including
I spent a brief albeit gainful stint within customer services at Sri Lanka’s largest mobile operator, —this experience gave me an invaluable look into inner workings of a highly customer oriented organization and call center operations.
