Senior
Perform the full range of physicians ordered radiologic procedure, exercising proper safety procedures and radiation protection protocols at all times.
Reviews radiologic requests to determine which region and views are to be taken, based upon the patient history, departmental guidelines, patient conditions and independent judgment.
Refers those requests with inadequate or appropriate information to the radiologist.
Transports, prepare and positioning the patient using courtesy and patience.
Adjust, manipulates and control a variety of technological equipment and accessories to provide optimum quality results.
Insure proper patient safety by appropriately utilizing special equipment and accessories during procedures.
Review processed results to insure optimal quality and assist in quality improvement, control and assurance programmed within the department.
Follow procedure to insure appropriate billing and sharing of patient for examinations.
Prepare and assist administering contrast media, performs special procedures in collaboration with the imaging nurse and under supervision of the radiologist.
Maintain the equipment accessories and working environment in clean and antiseptic conditions.
Utilize sterile techniques appropriately and follow infection control guidelines.
Recognize a change in patient condition, initiating appropriate response.
Maintains constructive intra and inter departmental communication and relations.
Adhere to all safety and radiological hazard prevention procedures.
Help to provide a safe environment, reporting equipment or maintenance issues that affect the provision of care and \ or a safe environment for patient staff.
Perform other task and duties within the scope of my knowledge, skills and experience that required for the job, as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Prepare required tools for antiseptic biopsies under CT and Ultrasound guidance.
