Responsible for managing a large multi billion public sector infrastructure development agency responsible for designing and executing projects such as hospitals, universities, office towers etc.
The Group has diversified interests in healthcare, education, real estate, contracting, and the electronics retail sector. My key responsibilities were to restructure the group assets and liabilities and re-focus the business on its core business
●Prepared the restructuring plan and led the implementation of a new business strategy/investment policy
●Divested non-core assets spread across the Middle East generating liquidity of over $30M
●Invested $20M in core school assets for further expansion and development
Led the complex restructuring of more than 45 operating companies housed within 8 holding companies owned by the Group
●Re-wrote group investment strategy and cut operating costs by 40%
●Generated +$100m liquidity by divesting non-core assets
●Negotiated and re-structured external liabilities with banks and other financial institutions to the tune of +$250M
Established the Company from and raised $100M capital in investor equity
●Completed 7 deals ranging from $10M to $130M in cement, mining, IT, and healthcare sectors
●Exited 4 investments with an average IRR of 18% EARLIER:
