Responsible for finance and management reporting, as well as implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Oversee and directly Managing team members who works for financial reporting operations.
- Analytical review of income statement and balance sheet to identify variances and provide necessary information for senior management.
- Reviewing the external payments and intercompany payments prior sending for UK client approvals.
- Ensure that financial and accounting information is processed according to internal controls and policies.
- Assist senior management in liaising with staff, onshore Client as required.
- Reviewing, approving and posting journal entries into the general ledger.
- Liaising with external and internal auditors.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all balance sheet reconciliations / month-end closure/3rd party payments.
- Provide expertise, research assistance and financial analysis to senior management for ad hoc projects.
- Review and reconcile inter fund accounts on a monthly basis.
- Perform financial reporting and general ledger accounting team’s quality assurance review for selected balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations monthly in order to ensure accuracy
of the balances reported and working on the outstanding balance clearance.
- Initiated and lead a balance sheet control account clearance project, while
managing and assisting 5 members of this project, which had 8 high risk
control account reconciliations of 10 funds of direct customer impact, and
cleared and reduce the outstanding balances substantially (approx. ₤20
million).
- Preparation of month end accrual journals.
- Investigated and Cleared Bank suspense in collaboration with the Treasury
team and UK finance team and posted correction entries.
- Investigated and Cleared the intercompany miss matches between holding
company and subsidiaries caused by general ledger mapping errors through
journals and suggested correct general ledger mappings.
- Investigating, analysing and proposing action plans to ensure the
completeness and accuracy of the general ledger balances.
- Liaising with the UK client on daily basis with regard to key deliverables and
responding to ad-hoc queries.
-Aptitude in accounting applications such as Oracle Financials, Business
Objects of SAP and TLM system in order to carry out daily tasks.
- Ensure processes are carried out according to the ISO procedures and as per
the Service Level Agreements (SLA's).
Process Developments and Automation
- Achieved reduction of time consumption by 95% and increased accuracy and
effectiveness of a process (A Reinsurance Database) by VBA programming for
excel automation, qualified for the Kaizen Champion-Six Sigma certification.
- Achieved time reduction by 98% for a monthly process on critical day of a
month end (A Cash position report) by “VBA Userform” for Excel automation.
- Streamlining and Automation of end to end Banking suspense monthly
journal using VBA programming for Excel and achieved time reduction,
increased accuracy and effectiveness (Saved 8 hours averagely) which is
qualified for Six sigma- yellow belt.

• Implementation of the audit, which includes identifying and testing of controls, testing areas ranging from revenue, expenses, assets, liabilities and equity and checking regulatory compliance.
• Supervise the audit juniors who have less experience in the field to carrying out their assigned tasks.
• Coordinate with client and the engagement manager in resolving audit related issues and technical assistance as required by the client.
• Completion of the audit, which includes the preparation of final accounts and management letters indicating the lapses in the controlling environment.
