Managing a team of 10 professionals, formulating and implementing a growth-oriented risk-mitigating strategic business plan.
Responsible for day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including treasury, safety, audit reviews, health insurance,
and risk management.
 Formulating growth-oriented strategic and long-term business plans considering company’s risk tolerance
 Monitor, control, and record bank operating expenses in bank branches (Baghdad, Dubai, Amman, and Erbil).
 Prepare daily reports for bank balances, time deposits, and its movements between branches.
 Prepare transfers to report on a weekly basis.
 Prepare monthly financial statements and its disclosures (Balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, changes on
owner’s equity).
 Reconcile and follow up bank balances in Central Bank of Iraq.
 Follow up all foreign exchange transactions through the Central Bank of Iraq.
 Monitor time deposits and its maturity dates.
 Monitor and follow up customers’ accounts (Saving, exchange, time deposits)
 Liaise with external auditors.
 Prepare and review performance analysis reports.
 Assist in choosing and implementing a new automated accounting system.
 Prepare all required reports and feasibility studies that support the decision making process.
 Developing financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk;
 Managing company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems
 Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation
 Staff Leadership, supervision, and control.

Provided detailed financial status to the management by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing,
verifying, and reporting financial information and managing accounting staff.
 Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy,
completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
 Report to management regarding finances of the company.
 Establish chart and table of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.
 Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
 Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems using current computer technology.
 Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and recommend, develop, and maintain solutions to business and
financial problems.
 Advise management about issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget
forecasts.
 Prepare and issue periodic reports covering department activities.

Responsible for performing financial analysis, month-end accounting activities, identifying financial discrepancies,
recommending effective resolutions to the team, and responding to accounting inquiries from management in a timely fashion.
 Coordinate with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
 Monitor expenditures, analyze revenues and determine budget variances and report the same to management.
 Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations.
 Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures.
 Handle full spectrum of financial and cost accounting roles, e.g., Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, General
Ledger, forecasting, budgeting, etc.
 Perform a complete set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts.
 Perform project cost forecasts/budgets, cost tracking, monitoring, and controls.
 Review & approve payment vouchers & journal entries.
 Perform cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and working closely with the operations and project teams.
 Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the setup.
 Consult with the respective departments on cost reduction initiatives.
 Control the inventory by stock-taking in equal time intervals.
 Monitor the staff & worker attendance and prepare monthly payroll.
 Determine the operation cost on a monthly basis.
 Prepare cash flow statements.
 Meet the auditors’ requirements by keeping proper records.
 Provide guidance to other Accountants when needed.
