GCPL is the largest home-grown home and personal care company in India. In line with 3 x 3 approach to international expansion, GCPL is building a presence in 3 emerging markets (Asia, Africa, Latin America) across 3 categories (home care, personal wash, hair care)

Achievements of Baibhav :
• Joined back Godrej in 2015 to create a separate Exports division for Indonesia business, with a new team
• Opened 13 new countries in FY 2015-16, mostly Africa & South Asia - 15% contribution to total exports biz
• Achieved 37% growth over previous year ( second best performing exports biz across globe )
• Established 5 markets as branded business, a more sustainable biz model than trading
• Within 8 months, got additional responsibility of turning around Godrej business in MENA region. Delivered best ever performance in the first quarter itself - both NSV as well as PAT
• MENA biz to grow by 32% current FY, including 18% growth in Gulf countries (inspite of market slowdown). NC higher than projection, with forecasted EBITDA
• Opened up 4 new exports markets in last one year ( Morocco, Mali, Jordan, Ethiopia ) for personal care products.

Pacific Inter-Link (PIL) is a member of the Hayel Saeed Anam group, one of the most noted business conglomerates in Arab world. PIL is a leading Exports House in Malaysia, actively engaged in a diverse range of business activities like manufacturing, marketing, trading, freight forwarding, banking, shipping.
Achievements of Baibhav :
• Headed the DAIRY BU for 8 years, tripled biz to 110 Mio USD business - most profitable in FMCG div of PIL
• He was instrumental in launching Milgro milk powder in 35 countries, mostly Africa, Middle east and South Asia
• NPDs - condensed milk, evaporated milk, flavoured milk. Contributed 10% of total dairy biz
• Part of a core team to set-up state of the art “canning” facility for milk powder in Jakarta factory
• Subsequently, headed FOODS & TEA for 3 years - biz across 25 countries, mostly Africa & Middle East; 30 Mio USD turnover. Developed multi location suppliers, for sourcing quality products liked canned fish, bouillon cubes, chicken luncheons, tomato paste, spaghetti and also tea bags, green tea and flavoured tea.
• To capitalize on his skills in distribution, Baibhav was given additional responsibility of market coordinator for Southern Africa for entire PIL products. As forward integration, he set up subsidiaries in Mozambique & Madagascar- own distribution network and GTM strategy. 35 Mio USD T/O in 2 years

Country Head for operations in Sri Lanka, Maldives and Pakistan.Started the Sri Lankan operation from scratch ie registration of the company locally, set up of local manufacturing unit, identification of local distribution house, recruitment and training of local staffs, putting system and processes in place including banking, tie up with suitable advertising and research firms, etc.
Managing the factory was surely the biggest challenge, as this was Godrej Soap’s first factory outside India.
