AS AN HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER: 1.IDENTIFYING RISKS INVOLVE AND 2.ELIMINATING THE HAZARDS DUE TO THE RISKS PRESENT AND TAKING CERTAIN PRECAUTIONS TO AVOID THE ACCIDENT BY FOLLOWING THE POLICY OF THE ORGANISATION AND MAINTAINING THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF THE HOSPITAL AND EACH AND EVERY EMPLOYEE AND PATIENTS AS WELL IN THE ORGANISATION.
AS A HEALTH AND SAFETY SUPERVISOR: • Inspecting and rectifying any unsafe conditions at the work place, • Correct any unsafe practices, • Checking of employees work to ensure compliance with the Act and regulations made there under are complied with, and • Liaise with all the departments for development of safety culture among all the departments, • Ensuring that employees are properly trained regarding company-specific and Occupationa Safety and Health Act, or OSHA, safety requirements, • Conducting safety orientation, daily safety meetings, periodic safety meetings and formal training sessions on a wide range of safety related topics in hospital,as well as diagnostic centres for the well being of the hospital,employees and the patients as well.
