organizing all groceries, butchery, different vendors and food suppliers, finance and payments, catering
and building strong coordination and communication which related to marketing and advertisements.
Handicap International in the two major development projects in Iraq
(AC4 and ECCS) (Naseem Project) which funded by both EU and MOFA Lux, these projects benefited
all persons with disabilities in the cities of Sulaimania, Erbil, Dohuk, Kirkuk, Halabja and Baghdad
through capacity building, empowerment, strengthening civil societies and improving better access to
services in all cities, districts and sub-districts.
My main responsibilities as
- Iraq. Supervising Multi- stakeholder initiative
project: improving access to rehabilitation services in Kurdistan/Iraq (AC3).
RESPONSIBILITIES & MAJOR DUTIES
• Assisted PM in implementing and coordinating the project activities ensuring consistency,
effectiveness and sustainability. To further develop and support a network of relevant
stakeholders under the guidance of the PM (service providers, Ministry of Health, Ministry of
Labour and Social Affairs, Ministry of Planning, Ministry of Education, Mine Action
Department, International and local NGOs and Disabled People’s Organisations at community,
district and governorate levels in the Kurdistan region).
• Collected data about stakeholders, manage contact database and update it regularly.
• Assisted PM in conducting and organizing meetings with stakeholders regarding project
activities.
• Participated in needs assessment of identified stakeholders.
• Propose/developed technical support and capacity building plans for local partners with PM
and Technical Advisor.
• Assisted in the organisation of training sessions, meetings and other project activities in Erbil,
Duhok and Suleimania governorates.
• Participated in the development of regular plan of action and regularly evaluate the project
progress in line with the defined project objectives
• Participated in the writing of activity reports and produce ad hoc reports as required by PM
• Assisted PM in preparing the project’s monthly progress report as well as quarterly and annual
report
• Ensured the continuous monitoring of project’s activities by following communication and
reporting system.
International Relations and Security, achieved Upper Second Class, mark 71 in my final dissertation. modules include: International
Relation: Beyond International Relations, Islam and Politics of the Middle East, International Relations theoretical perspective, Contemporary controversies in International Security: Terrorism, Self-defence and Intervention, Global Change: Toward a new Non-Western Order, and Theories of International Security.
