FRAUD ANALYST- BARWA BANK- QATAR.

• Proactively monitor and review for both debit and credit card related authorizations and transactions through rule based online fraud monitoring system for suspicious activity and possible fraud.
• Identify and analyze the credit and debit card fraud cases and cardholder information.
• Communicate with cardholders to confirm transaction authenticity.
• Handle all faxes concerning transaction verification presented by other acquirers.
• Preparing Information/analysis reports in case of any fraud incident for onward review by fraud supervisor.
• Monitor and ensure fast action is taken regarding visa fraud reports(visa online) and other acquirers/issuers risk management reports to ensure lowest fraud potential in case of single account or database fraud compromise.
• Liase with internal bank departments and units for fraud related issues.
• Liase with external bank department and entities when needed to ensure proper measures are taken accordingly with situation in question.
• Adhere bank's security and compliance measures regarding cards and customers data
• Ensure that track records (documents) for all cases are properly produced and documented for history keeping and audit tracking.

CREDIT FRAUD

• Random checking of cases (Credit Card, Personal Loan, Small Business Loan Applications to see if they are approved as per the policy.
• Cross checking of cases to verify if there is any error from Credit Evaluators, documents are as per the policy requirement, cross checking of salary and other mandatory information with the employers concerned.
• Verify the applicant’s background through Credit Bureau Report, world check, etc.
• Checking credit transactions (mainly online) and make sure if the particular transactions are done by customers concerned.



QUALITY - (RECOVERIES).
Allocation of Account Checks:
• Check and see whether allocation of accounts done through Finn One (Collection System).
• Check whether allocation done in line with approved allocation strategy or not
• Check whether all exceptions are documented and approved.
• Check have all genuinely delinquent accounts not allocated thru Finn One been allocated to respective collector.
Customer contact and Negotiation Process:
• Whether the customer contacted based on allocation thru Finn One or not.
• Is customer contacted details available in Finn One or Host system.
• In case of no contact with customer have efforts been exercised to contact reference, office etc. to establish if the customer has exited from the country.

Accounts Follow up Process:
• Check the frequency of follow up of accounts.
• Check the frequency of follow up on accounts allocated to Agencies
• Check the frequency of follow up on accounts against which legal action has been taking.
Staff incentives pay out:
• Check if all eligible staff is included in incentive plan.
• Ensure the data is checked by an independent authority.
• Check if the products are mapped as per allocation strategy.
• Verify data from daily mirror /KPI/Agency MIS to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure pay outs are as per approved grids.

COLLECTIONS OPERATIONS

• Prepare Debt write off document for submission to QCB through compliance team.
• Prepare the Police Notification lodgement and release documentation for filing of the case.
• Provide Support to CCRD team for all operational matters ranging from database maintenance, MIS reporting, case assignment to agencies, preparing, and reconciliation of accounts with UAE central team. Query handling etc.
• Preparing letters including write off vouchers for all products for customers where settlement has been approved by CCRD after due checks with the delegation matrix in place.
• Liaise with key officers on all operational matters.
• Focal point of all admin tasks such as hardware, software furniture request, repairs, fixtures relocation etc.
• Ensure error free preparation of document required by regulators.
• Establish cordial work relationships with internal staff to mitigate process bottle necks.
• Vigorous follow up with customers and internal linkages to ensure minimum customer escalations.
• Smooth processing of all admin requests to facilitate Retail Credit& ensure minimum down time.
