EHS & Energy Officer Reporting to Senior Development Manager
Successfully develop framework / approach, procedures and templates applied to service providers. Periodically benchmark industry leading developers on performance management and best practices. Evaluate and monitor the budget, return on investment (ROI) and the timelines for execution of the implementation plans for energy conservation projects. Reduce the impact on the environment. Effort on sustainability reports (GRI). Direct EHS of the marine operations addressing the biodiversity, Alterations of physical habitats, Invasions of exotic species, midstream of Oil, Gas & petrochemical industry, and the airports operations, related to Dubai Customs. Deliver training programs on EHS practices and standards to increase awareness and enhance compliance. Proactively pass The International Standard for Service Excellence (TISSE) audit and Social Accountability Standard (SA8000) audit.

• Implement Environment Health Safety and Energy Management System and Energy and water Conservation Program that including:

o Perform green buildings and number of facility and energy conservation projects along with customs technical team and with the contractors
o Undertake air, land and water quality assessments and surveys, including the preparation of scopes of work and consultant supervision should these tasks be outsourced
o Evaluate the adequacy of personal protective equipment and recommend appropriate changes as necessary.
o Devise crises management and business continuity plan
o Conduct detailed engineering drawing reviews and follow up with contractor progress to ensure project progress is aligned with technical drawings
o Effectively organize the external energy conservation audit and implementing the recommendations
o Administer internal energy conservation audit and recommending innovative controls
o Support the Design Management team in solving project implementation and technical issues
o Ensure all design work is carried out to the agreed standards and codes of practice
o Energy benchmarking









• Execute Dubai Government Excellence Program Award standard that includes:

o Operation plans preparation and revision
o Excellence Methodologies development
o Brilliance KPI preparation, updating and analyzing



• Contribute significantly in Dubai Government e-suggestion with number of creative ideas including:

o Use solar collectors and transfer the collected light inside the building using optical fibres.
o Energy meters
o Free cooling
o Wireless fire alarm system



• Completed the following project:

o Dubai Supreme Council of Energy (DSCE) quick win measures project that incorporate renewable energy technology
o Building Management System (BMS) project
o HVAC cleaning project based on industrial hygiene standard of NADCA (National Air Duct Cleaners Association)
o Integrated fire alarm system in partnership with Dubai Civil Defence (DCD)

EHS Officer Reporting to Quality Manager

Established Environment Health and Safety Management System consisting of nearly eighty policies and procedures. The project is a legal requirement based on ABU DHABI EHSMS standard, and the system is developed in a way that also covered OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, Federal Authority for nuclear Regulation (FANR), HAAD, HACCP and CAP (College of American Pathologist) standard to include chemical hygiene plan (CHP), lab disaster plan, waste determination, monitoring of hazardous air contamination, respiratory protection, disposing of hazardous material, utility management, fire safety management, hearing conservation, electrical inspection and testing, manual handling, confined space operations, asbestos management, document development, lockout tagging and isolation, compressed gas and cryogenic fluid handling, health monitoring, incident reporting and investigation, mercury management, personal protective equipment’s, Radiation safety, consultation and communication, EHS audit and management review.

• Industrialized and implemented Radiation Safety Program and work as Radiation Safety Officer (RSO), monitored the radiation exposure using dosimeter and develop radiation protection training presentation. Accomplished incident investigation, root cause analysis (RCA), and recommend the correction and preventive action (CAPA).
• Expertly managed relation with local authorities like Civil Defense and HAAD (Health Authority Abu Dhabi), meet their requirements to attain the necessary licenses. Worked towards obtaining the international and national accreditation like JCIA, ISO, CAP and Daman Health Insurance.
• Actively reported quarterly to quality department to interpret statistical data related to occupational accidents and incidents to generate the Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Conduct safety training and education programs including orientation and develop material for these presentations.
• Directed audit surveys and develop audit methodology in preparation for HAAD, ISO, JCIA, CAP, FANR, Civil Defense inspection. Acknowledged risk assessment like the hazard vulnerability analysis for natural hazard, technological hazard, human hazard and hazard material.
• Effectively reviewed safety policies to meet the local regulation and international standards. Measures airborne concentrations for chemicals like formaldehyde. Sustained water quality, make sure it is tested for chemical and biological, and meet drinking water quality for some applications within certain temperature.
• Ensure that material safety data sheet (MSDS) database is up to date, global harmonized labeling system (GHS) is available and in practice and training is provided.

• Conducted detailed design reviews to ensure that the Environmental designs meet the sustainability vision of the hospital while adhering to local regulations and building standards (http://www.healthdesign.com.au/haad.hfg/).


o Drove with project managers in identifying and flagging architectural issues interrogate and update project budgets
o Formulated environmental impact studies, assessments and audits including the preparation of scopes of work and consultant supervision should these tasks be outsourced
o Effectively directed and updated as required Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP’s) based on (CoP 55.0 Environmental Management)
o Bid evaluation
