• Skilled in area of control of major accidental hazards (MAH) - Risk management (Safety Case - COMAH) & QRA studies.
• Organize and facilitate HAZID, Bow-Tie, ALARP, and SIMOPS workshop, Design & Constructability reviews, PHSER, HSEIA and HAZOP/ SIL reviews.

• Hazardous area classification and Ignitions source control. Area safety chart and safety Philosophies, Emergency Plan and implemented HSE policies and programs.
• Passive Fire Protection (Fire Proofing, Fire & Blast resistant barriers). Ventilation, Means of escape and structural fire protection.
• Review facilities procedures for Fire Safety compliance with the Regional regulations, Local Authorities guidelines, Engineering Standards, NFPA Codes and Standards.
• Identification of Safety Critical Elements (SCE’s) and development of performance standards and ensure periodic inspection, testing and maintenance (both risk-ranking & priority basis)
• Effective controls to manage the risk from all Process Safety hazards to a tolerable and ALARP level at all times, including cost benefit analysis (CBA) for identified risk reduction measure.
• Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Business Unit.

• Review of assignment documents and plans - across all disciplines - to ensure HSE compliance and to identify specific hazards.

1. Main Responsibilities/ Tasks
• Design, Execution, Testing & Commissioning of Fire water systems Fire water pump, Fire water ringmain, hydrant, hose reel, fire monitors & fire alarm systems for SABIC petrochemical projects (Ar-razi methanol plant & Sharq - capacity of 450, 000t/y of ethylene glycol and 300, 000t/y of low-density polyethylene (LLDPE)
• Bid review package including bid basis, execution plan, strategy analysis, summary cost estimates and financial reports, ensuring Senior Management is provided with all necessary information to enable competitive pricing decisions.
