Project:
Project is spread over approx. 200 acres, located in Port Qasim, Eastern Industrial Zone. Karachi. The project is an integrated steel making plant comprises buildings works like Wire Drawing Shed, Melt Shop, Synthetic Pump House, Induction Furnace and three Rolling mills including Infra structures works. The total cost of the project is approx. USD 23 million.
Responsibilities
• Mainly responsible for designing, planning, ordering, and evaluation of offers, contract preparation, supervision and project monitoring pertaining to all types of technical buildings related to Steel making Plant.
• Review of shop drawings related to his discipline and ensures its compliance with designs, contract requirement and properly coordinated with other discipline.
• Review all Contractor submittals related to his discipline addressing Method Statements, Project Quality Plan, Safety Plan, Schedules and compliance with Project objective.
• Review the project progress with superiors and follows up as required. Initiates necessary action to avoid delays in the projects.
• Carry out all inspections and ensure quality of work is in compliance with contract requirements, good practice and only approved materials are used.
• Checking & Certification of Contractors’ Bill for payment in accordance with the Contract terms and company procedures
Project:
Project is spread over apprx. 108-acres, located in Karachi’s DHA phase VIII. It composed of 40 high and mid-rise Residential and Commercial Towers, a Shopping Centre and a Five Star Beach Front Hotel. The towers will contain apprx. 4, 000 Residential apartments. The total cost of the project is apprx. USD 2 billion. .This is a project of Emaar Giga Karachi (Pvt.) Ltd. Project Manager is M/s Turner Construction International. Design Architect is Abdul Razzak Associates (Pvt.) Ltd. and Supervision Consultant is Engineering Associates.
Responsibilities:
• To manage and supervise the works including planning and liaison with Project Consultant and Project Manager.

• Gold Crest Executive Shopping Mall & Offices:
It is a 39 Storey High-rise Building Project having total construction area of about 2, 335, 000 sq-ft and comprises 10 floors for Car parking, 3 floors for shopping area, 1 floor for recreational and food court and 28 floors for office area. The estimated cost will be approx. USD 129 million or Rs 9 billion.
• Crescent Bay Development, Reclamation and Edge Protection Works:
The project comprised of following work; a) Sea reclamation using suitable land based material to form a platform of 108 acres b) Construction of rock Armour Edge Protection at the perimeter of the reclaimed area. c) Construction of beaches Estimated cost of the project Rs 2 billion approx. This was the project of Emaar International and M/s Halcrow International Partnership was the Consultant for the project works.
Responsibilities:
• Detailed planning of all stages of construction, including workers, equipment and materials.
• Management and supervision of works including planning and liaisoning with Project Consultants.
• Review of field related coordination issues and direct resolutions for implementation
Project:
The largest mall in the world constructed in Dubai over an area of 34.5 hectares having 5.9 million sq-ft gross floor area and over 14, 000 car parks. It is constructed in close proximity of the world’s tallest tower BURJ DUBAI.
Estimated cost is 260 Million AED. This is a project of Emaar Properties PJSC. The Project Manager is M/s Turner Construction International. The design Architect and Supervision Consultant is DP Architects PTE Ltd and Structural and M& E Engineer is Meinhardt PTE Ltd
Responsibilities:
• To order steel as per three weeks look ahead work program as per reinforcement drawings
• To supervise and manage steel arrival from factory and unloading at site’s steel yard on daily basis and its distribution at site as per daily requirement.
• To check & rectify any discrepancy in construction drawings from Engineering Department.
Project:
R.C.C. Conduit with internal dimensions of 3.3m x 3.3m, 4 km of twin 1820 mm OD mild steel Siphon pipelines, transition structures, Over Flow Structure, Chambers.
Estimated cost is 38 Million AED. It was a Contract Package No. 3B W N - 8; Pipri to NEK Conduit - RCC Conduit & Siphon, under the 2nd 100 MGD K-III Project of Greater Karachi Bulk Water Supply Scheme, Phase V, Stage-II, funded by Federal Government of Pakistan. The Works are supervised by M/S Techno Consultant Pvt. Ltd.
Responsibilities:
• Overall project execution and site management
• Quality control
• Meetings with the Consultants, Liaison with Sub-Contractors & local Authorities and public representatives
• Material procurement
• Preparation of variation orders, monthly payment certificates
• Report to Project Manager for all duties and site matters
Project:
50 MGD Pipri Water Filter Plant, having chemical building, lime saturators, balancing tank, thickener feed pumping station, sludge thickeners, pipe works, roads & extension work of the existing treatment facilities at Pipri water treatment works under Contract C5 constructed at Karachi - Pakistan.
Estimated cost is 1.6 Million AED. This was a Part of Karachi Water Supply Improvement Project Funded by JBIC and Government of Pakistan. The Works are supervised by M/S Mott MacDonald International Ltd.
Responsibilities:
• Overview and management of site logistics planning and implementation.
• Monitor field progress through actual logging of daily work by the field Engineers.
• Oversee input of equipment and manpower resources against projected histograms.
• Track material delivery commitments to achieve the progress on field.
• Review field related coordination issues and direct resolutions for implementation.
• Liaison with Project Consultants.
Project:
Laid 35km long uPVC & AC Water Pipe Line Network(DN:80-250mm), and rehabilitate 48” PRCC water mains and Water tanks (capacity. 50, 000 to 250, 000 gallons ) under Contract CW/LCB/09A at Rawalpindi - Pakistan.
Estimated cost is 0.3 Million AED. It was an ADB funded RDA project, Contract: CW/LCB/09A - Augmentation & Rehabilitation of Water Distribution System Central Areas, Rawalpindi. The Works are supervised by M/S Mott MacDonald International Ltd.
Responsibilities:

Project Cost was Rs 4 Billion. It was designed & supervised by M/s NESPAK.

• Management and administration of onsite activities, including general direction and coordination of all independent contractors.
• Management and administration of the programs for construction including procedures, layouts, equipment, manpower requirements, contractor interface and coordination.
• Participation in regular contractor meetings and other special meetings as required during the course of project.

Kidney Centre Hospital: 66, 000sq-ft covered area, external development works including water supply, drainage and internal road etc. constructed at Karachi- Pakistan. Estimated cost is 0.5 Million AED. This was a project of ‘Workers Welfare Fund Islamabad, Ministry of Labor, Manpower & Overseas Pakistanis’. It was designed & supervised by M/s NESPAK
Responsibilities:
• Overall Project Management of the project
• Quality Control, Billing, and Material procurement etc.
• Reported to General Manager for all duties & site matters
Project:
Reception/Mess Hall Building: a large Steel Structure with associated buildings like Pump House, Generator Building, Water Treatment Plant, Septic Tanks and road works constructed in city of Wadiah - Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Works are supervised by Ministry of Defense and Aviation.
Responsibilities:
• To supervise construction activities
• Quality Assurance
• To prepare technical reports, bar bending schedules, weekly & monthly progress reports
• To supervise surveys & ensure coordination/accuracy of works
• To co-ordinate with Client in technical matters
• Also involved in preparation of as-built drawing.
Project:
100 MGD Dhabeji Pumping Station: intake system comprises of Conduit & Transition Structures, Surge and Valve chambers, Pipe work of 1600 & 2000 mm dia, Generator workshop & administration buildings and internal roads constructed under Contract W4A: K-II, near Karachi - Pakistan. .
Estimated cost is 1.2 Million AED. This was a component of ADB funded 100 MGD, Greater Water Supply & Sanitation Project Phase-I.
Responsibilities:
• To supervise & co-ordinate construction of all Civil work
• Quality Assurance
• Co-ordination with Consultant, Client Plant Contractor
• To assist in Construction Management and planning
• To prepare reports and work programs
• To prepare bar bending schedule and shop drawings
• To monitor the related mechanical works.
Project:
Defense View Housing Project: 3000 housing units at Karachi - Pakistan. Work comprised construction of about 3000 housing units spread over an area of 85 acres, worth Rupees 200 million.
