• Review design drawings and calculations for various MEP services like Fire fighting, HVAC, Plumbing.
• Preparation of Shop drawings providing inputs to the CAD technicians
• Coordination with Architectural, Structural, Electrical services.
• Meeting with supervision consultant and client for site progress review.
• Check the site activities as per the planned project schedule.
• Preparation of materials order as per the MEP shop drawings
• Follow up with Procurement department and suppliers for deliverables.
• Ensuring all activities are completed within the project specification/QCS 2014.
Responsible for design review, installation, testing and commissioning of Plumbing, Drainage, HVAC, Fire Fighting and its equipment.
TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Mechanical designing for various services like Plumbing, Drainage, HVAC, fire fighting systems in conformity with local and international codes and standards like ASHRAE, CIBSE, QCS, NFPA, QCDD.
• Lead Auto CAD technicians in the preparation of detailed engineering design as per the project design scope of works.
• Conducting & verifying Heat load Calculations by using Carrier Hourly Analysis program.
• Performing calculations for sizing of cooling load, airflow-distribution, External Static Pressure, Chilled Water supply and return piping, hot, cold & potable water piping, Drainage water piping, fire protection systems.
• Equipment Selection/Recommendation (Fans, AHU, FCU, Air terminal, Booster pumps, chilled water pumps, fire pumps, Chiller, Sanitary fixtures, Water tanks, duct type, pipe type) NON TECHNICAL RSPONSIBILITIES
• Interfacing and co-ordination between Consultants and Contractors from Architectural / Civil, Interiors, Structural, Electrical and other service disciplines as also with Clients, Project Managers and all other concerned on a regular basis.
• Providing input to Quantity Surveyor for interim payment applications.
• Inspecting various completed sites
• Interacting with clients regarding the status of work
Underwent training in various mechanical aspects like:
• Breakdown and Preventive maintenance of Static Equipments like:
Heat Exchangers, Steel Storage Tanks, Rotary Equipments like Pumps, Compressors, Evaporators.
• Condition monitoring of Rotating equipment
• Thickness survey of Static equipment
• Sound Level monitoring
• Temperature survey
• Maintenance of Boilers, Compressors and Cooling towers
• Participated in Plant Shutdown Maintenance
