Working 40+ hours a week, opening the bar, and running four night shifts a week. Working in a place like this obviously gives me the chance to meet new people as well as meet local patrons on a regular basis.
South Molle Island has a quiet resort where I was the only full time Barman working 6 nights a week. Roles include, opening, general bar work and cashing up at the end of the night.
Ranging from picking pineapples, sweet potatoes and macadamia nuts, after six weeks on one farm I was promoted to supervisor for the remainder of my time at the farm. (Left because I worked enough to obtain my second year visa
Gave me more of a chance to meet new people at university, while dealing with what is effectively great customer service and large quantities of stock. I have also helped the sales team with selling to local shops in the area and increasing the number of POS.
