Perform financial and accounting policies and procedures approved by the company and delegate to accountants as appropriate.
Review all incoming and outgoing documents to accounting department and check validity and that it has been received by the company.
Supervise the recording process by accountant and ensure correctness.
Review of staff salaries supporting schedules and ensure accuracy of overtime and deduction and update SAP of any change to employee’s status.
Review Cashier data on daily basis and reconcile with book balance by confirming correctness of all entries and verify all receipt and payment vouchers related to movement of cash.
Review & ensure all supporting document in line of payment for service or materials and obtain proper authorization of payments in accordance with the approved authority limits.
Monthly reconciliation of all banks accounts, preparation of reconciliation entries and inform the General Manager of variances, if any.
Providing other departments, if required, financial data within the permissible limits to ease the reporting system.
Coordinate & follow up with insurance company related to status of policy and update General Manager on any issues.
Analyze the actual with budget/forecast and notify the major variance to General Manager with reason and discuss such variance with the concerned Department Heads for proper amendments & inclusion in the forth coming budget/forecast.
Participate in the annual physical count of fixed assets and inventory and agree results to book balance. Prepare reconciling entries and obtain proper approval.
BPC Reporting
Responsible for timely filing of statutory returns such as Withholding Tax, Zakat, Income Tax etc.
Hedging of foreign currency as per PO requirements on monthly basis.
Compliance of Internal Key Control Areas for effective functioning.
Responsible for Fixed Assets
Co ordinate with external/internal/tax auditors (PWC/KPMG/DELOITTE) to complete audit on time.
