• Implements and maintains acceptable accounting practices and procedures as required by corporate policies and procedures, generally accepted accounting practices, and existing country policy and procedures.
• Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling, and submitting reports, analyzing industry trends, and assessing the financial health of the company.
• Create strategic business plans based on the analysis of the company’s status and financial forecasts.
• Mediate between the organization, employees, stakeholders, shareholders and investors on financial issues for amicable resolution of differences.
• Oversee the operations and development of the company’s finance departments including creating and reviewing policies, budgeting, recruiting, training, and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures.
• Supervise the preparation of quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor, and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards and assist with cash flow forecasting.
• Advise executive management on decisions related to the company’s finances.
• Maintains accurate and timely financial and operating information and provides analyzes, interpretations and projections to management as required.
• Prepares reports as requested to develop a more informative database for improved Management decision making and critical evaluation of work activities.
• Facilitate and coordinate External Audit.
• Assist the CEO/GM in developing, for the Board approval, a strategic direction and positioning to ensure success of Heran Group of Companies.
• Create, Coordinate, and evaluate the financial control and supporting system of the companies.
• Keep the Board directly or through CEO/GM aware of the financial position and financial development of the company.
• Develop appropriate key performance indicators to monitor and drive the financial performance.
• Strategic forward-thinking development and continuous evaluation of short and long term strategic financial objectives.
• Ensure proper training of all personnel working in financial, accounting audit, or fiscal matters.
• Ensure presenting and reporting accurate and timely Management information of the company in accordance with IFRS.
• Oversee and monitor the company’s financial position, banking and financial activities and Capital.
• Advice on Loan management, Cash management, Inventory management and Fixed as Asset registration and liaison with financial institution and Insurance Companies.
• Ensure the effective internal control are in place and confirm compliance IFRS and take steps to enhance internal control where necessary.
• Facilitate and coordinate external Audits.

•Ensure documents and establishes adequate controls for all revenues and expenses and protection of assets, and ensures controls will satisfy or improve the level of guest service
•Maintains accurate and timely financial and operating information and provides analyzes, interpretations and projections to management as required
•Work out the cost build up of imported goods and follow up in recording in appropriate cost centers of the company.
•Follow up the cash position and advice for the Financial Controller for optimal decisions.
•Verifies foreign exchange gain/loss Reports over and short deposits and investigates discrepancies, completing cashier over and short book balance cash over and short with the General Ledger
•Prepares reports as requested to develop a more informative database for improved Management decision making and critical evaluation of work activities
•Prepares all appropriate period closing reports and entries
•Reconciles and controls the operation of the hotel’s bank accounts.
