 Monitor technical contracts for the provision of supplies and support services
 Handle the safe and cost effective transportation of material supply by air, road, sea and river
 Plan and prepare cost estimates, budget and long term forecasts
 Assist in developing supply chain contracts and associated services
 Coordinate with DPKO (Department of Peacekeeping Mission) and other humanitarian agencies
 Ensure Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) of items and equipment
 Supervise, train and monitor performance indicators for staff
 Maintain the fixed asset register and monitor physical verification review process
 Provide guidance in relation to IPSAS accounting
 Liaising with the State Military, Police and Special Police Unit Logistics Officer for supply chain operational requirements

Achievements at UNMISS
• Established a new supply chain integrated warehouse with 74 sea containers and 2 rob holes ‘
• Substantially saved on transportation costs by outsourcing the entire road transportation needs to external vendors
• Integrated different sections- movement control, air operations and supply chain so that goods were transported directly from central warehouse to state (sector), improving efficiency
• Implemented a cost effective delivery system for rations to troops and humanitarian aids
